Peace and privacy in Norra Bäck, about 3 km from the eastern coastal road. In the centre of Öland, only 20 minutes from the Öland Bridge. Jöns-Lasses is a converted farm named after the carpenter and blacksmith Jöns Larsson. Much has been preserved since the 19th century. Now we rent out so that more people can enjoy this fantastic place. Large lush garden and courtyard and free access to the meadow next to the farm. A real time travel with historical details! Welcome back in time!

The space
In the house, all beds are divided into three rooms.

A double bed in one of the rooms. There is also a small folding travel cot (for younger children) with high sides. It is located under the double bed.

The next bedroom has a 120 centimetres wide bed and two smaller beds. The smaller beds are best suited for children, but with the fold-down headboard on one of them, it is possible to sleep an adult as well.

Then we have a bed in a smaller separate room.

The kitchen
In the centre of the house is the old kitchen with its baking oven and stone slab for an open fire. However, there is a fire ban on the whole house. The kitchen has a fridge with a freezer and the possibility to cook in the microwave or use the hob. There is no running water in the house, it is collected from the outdoor tap outside. There is also an outdoor kitchen for dishwashing or food preparation, where you turn on the tap at the Brewhouse to get water from the courtyard well. After that, you can use the small tap on the outdoor kitchen itself.

Bathroom
The bathroom consists of a shower, toilet, sink and chest of drawers with supplies. The bathroom has municipal water and also hot water in the sink and shower. In the bathroom, the right window can be opened, but must be secured with a window hook and closed at night and when you leave the yard.

Access and parking
We hope that you as a tenant will protect our beautiful cultural heritage and understand that the farm requires a certain amount of caution. Ball games or other throwing of objects are not allowed in the vicinity of the farm buildings. It is not allowed to enter barns and stables. However, you have free access to a large meadow to the left of the farm, where you can freely practice outdoor games. It is also here, within walking distance to the rear of the Exception, where you park your car.

Cool potato cellar on the ground floor
Next to your house is a stone building/potato cellar. Here you can borrow space for your drinks, vegetables, fruits, etc. The cellar is on the ground floor and keeps about 12-13 degrees in the summer months.

The farm in general
The entire courtyard consists of 7 buildings built around and creating a large courtyard. The largest building is the manor house, which is located between your house "Undantaget" and the Brewhouse. The manor house belongs only to the host couple, but when you rent the host couple is not on the farm.

The other buildings are stables and barns that should not be entered. All buildings were built in the 19th century and have only been patched and repaired since then. No renovations have been made. This is unique and the entire farm has been a listed building since 2004 and is protected both internally and externally (all buildings). The stone building next to Undantaget is a potato cellar that has been restored in cooperation with the County Administrative Board and Kalmar County Museum. Earlier this summer, the farm was visited by the Swedish Building Conservation Association, which had chosen Jöns-Lasse's farm as one of the sights on its member trip in 2023.

Positive and attentive, likes new experiences and thinks new places and new encounters make me grow as a human. Burning for building care and thinking that we who get to own an old building should see it as a loan. An opportunity to save something significant.
