The space
This is a spacious and well laid out Vacation Home with amazing views. There are two equal bedrooms off the center hallway with queen beds, closets and some built-ins. The third bedroom features twin beds. The two living room sofas both fold flat for sleeping. There are two full baths on this main level.
Sustainability note: this home is largely powered by a large solar panel and has many energy conservation features. Although this doesn't impact you in any way because you can use the energy you need when you need it, it's cool to know that when the sun shines this property contributes clean energy!
Guest access
You have access to the whole house. The grounds of this Vacation Home are comprised of 5 acres with a pathway to Foster Park. There is direct and easy access to the Iowa River from low banks with a sandy river bottom. There is a small dock where you can fish or wade into the river for a swim or float.
Other things to note
You'll drive by a small cabin that's shares our driveway and splits off to the left. That cabin does not share our yard or any of the woods/acreage, but the parking for the cabin is next to our extra parking area. We have plenty of parking for a boat trailer or RV.
You may cross-country ski on the property or on the river when it is fully frozen. Check with the Scenic City Boatclub, Calkins Nature Center or the Barlow Public Library for more information about outdoor recreation opportunities, skiing, etc.
