Immaculate and welcoming
Guests describe the home as immaculate, cozy, and thoughtfully stocked for a comfortable stay
This bright and inviting hilltop home features spectacular mountain and valley views both indoors and out — the perfect setting for a Vermont summer getaway.
Enjoy peaceful mornings on the deck, evenings around the fire pit, and easy access to hiking, swimming, shopping, and dining just a few minutes away in Woodstock.
Known as Innisfree, this special spot takes its name from “The Lake Isle of Innisfree” by W.B. Yeats, chosen for its connotations of peaceful solitude and connection to nature.
The space
Guests staying for July 4th weekend can view Woodstock’s annual fireworks display right from the property! The fireworks take place on July 5th and are part of a festive weekend of community celebrations, including live music, family activities, food vendors, and more.
GREAT ROOM
The heart of Innisfree is the great room, with floor-to-ceiling windows framing picturesque views. Two cozy seating areas provide plenty of space to connect with loved ones, watch a movie, or simply take in the scenery as you warm yourself by the wood burning stove after a day exploring the area.
We provide games, puzzles, and books for you to enjoy, plus a workspace (if you must). There is also a CD player with a large selection of 90s music, or take your sense of nostalgia further back in time with our record collection. The stereo is Bluetooth enabled for those who prefer more modern musical amenities.
If you need an extra sleeping space, there is a sofa bed with a quilted topper for comfort.
KITCHEN
Compact yet fully equipped, the kitchen provides everything you need to prepare your very own farm-to-table meal, with plenty of cookware and pantry essentials to get you started.
DINING AREAS
Start your mornings in the breakfast nook, with easy access to coffee refills.
Enjoy evening cocktails with a view on the elevated deck before moving indoors for dinner at the expansive dining table. As the weather warms, fire up the grill and dine alfresco at the picnic table off of the great room.
BEDROOMS
Both bedrooms are on the main level and feature queen beds.
We also provide a twin air mattress and a Pack N Play for little ones.
BATHROOMS
There are 2 full bathrooms: one on the lower level and another on the main level, next to the bedrooms. There is also a powder room off of the great room.
OUTDOOR LIVING
There is an elevated deck off of the dining room with rocking chairs, as well as a platform deck off of the great room with a picnic table. We suggest coffee and cocktails on the elevated deck and cookouts on the platform deck (propane grill provided!)
Gather around the in-ground fire pit at the end of the day ('smores and campfire games optional, but highly recommended).
Guest access
There is a locked storage room the lower level that is not accessible to guests. Otherwise, the house is all yours!
Other things to note
The last 2 miles of your drive to Innisfree is on a steep approach, and the driveway is also fairly steep. This should not be a concern in the summer or fall, but we recommend AWD or 4WD in the winter and spring (mud season). If you have any concerns, please get in touch before booking.
