Beautiful area
Guests love this home’s scenic location.
Unwind at this unique island getaway in a newly-constructed, dry cabin on the pristine beach of Hesketh Island, a short boat ride from Homer, Alaska.
Watch epic sunsets, ocean views, volcanoes, eagles, otters, whales, seabirds, and other marine life from the wall of windows of the cabin. Enjoy your morning beach stroll with coffee in hand, kayak, paddle board, beachcomb, relax in the hammock, yoga on the beach, hike, sit by a bonfire, sleep to the sound of waves and enjoy this retreat!
The space
Indigo Tide Cabin is located on Hesketh Island and is only accessible by water taxi. The scenic boat ride from Homer to the north side of the island provides so many opportunities to see marine life, take in the salty, fresh Alaskan air, and admire the beauty of Kachemak Bay. The cabin is located on the north side of Hesketh Island and makes for the most dreamy sunset beach.
The 28x16' modern shed roof cabin features an open living/dining/kitchenette area which is surrounded by a wall of windows overlooking Kachemak Bay and snow covered volcanoes. The cabin sleeps up to 4-5 people. The private, main floor bedroom has a king-sized bed and features its own patio overlooking the beach and ocean. The upstairs loft provides a double bed with a large picture window as its headboard. In addition, there is a convertible couch that can sleep one adult comfortably.
A propane Scandanavian Jotul stove provides heat on those chillier days and evenings, especially after a kayak or paddle board adventure.
Other things to note
Indigo Tide is an off-grid cabin with no electricity or running water. But do not fret...we have a pretty sweet outhouse with a new state-of-the-art incinerator toilet! Or as we call it, a "Loo with a View," featuring a dutch door option for your viewing pleasure.
