Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
A unique rural getaway at Hut in the Vines. Discreetly nestled at the back end of or tiny vineyard, which is now in its 8th year. and very private. Our home is 70 metres away but your space is private with a vineyard view. Outside, there is a traditional, wood-burning hot tub, covered eating area with bbq and wood-fired pizza oven and an electric wall heater-lit with festoon lighting. ONE Small doggy welcome. EV charger (£20)

The space
Imagine your own little private space, set amongst the vines where your every need is met for a unique stay in the countryside. Escaping the chaos of everyday life. The countryside is peaceful and positive and free from the distractions of technology and Hut in the Vines is just the place to wind down. Welcoming and comfortable with a plush, wool mattress (double bed) and wood-burning stove. Recently installed central heating (one radiator and constant hot water). Every attempt has been made to combine modern convenience with authentic touches such as a full sized under-counter fridge sitting comfortably with exposed copper plumbing pipes and traditional enamel basin in the en-suite shower room. We have a great little hobbit wood-burner for those chilly spring and autumn evenings too. The en-suite bathroom has a full sized shower, enamel hand basin and traditional high level cistern loo.

We provide a good, generous supply of logs (for the internal wood burning stove, hot tub and pizza oven) as well as a bag of charcoal for the bbq. Ample for a short stay.

Outside, there is a traditional, wood-burning hot tub, covered eating area with bbq and wood-fired, table-top pizza oven and an electric wall heater….all discretely lit with festoon lighting.

However you choose to spend your days, you will have the unpolluted skies above extra clear and starry, what more could you possibly need? Simply fire up the barbecue and the wood-fired hot tub, open up a chilled bottle of wine, and get to know each-other all over again, in the serene comfort of Hut in the Vines.

You will have full access to the area immediately around the hut as well as the vineyard but not our house/garden.

Neighborhood highlights

Our hut is situated in a very sweet, picturesque village just south of Canterbury. There are many glorious walks straight from the hut or you can drive further afield to the coast and enjoy the many beaches and seaside towns (Whitstable is of particular note as are the White Cliffs of Dover both around a 20 minute drive away). We have several country pubs in the area that we will happily recommend. You can take them in on a long walk or a short drive. There are many tourists attractions in the area (Canterbury Cathedral & Dover castle are of particular note) as well as super beaches and coastal towns most of which are within a 15/20 minute drive. we also have super pubs and restaurants (The Pig Hotel in the next village if you want a long, picturesque walk on tracks is around a 50 minute walk or 5 minute drive).
