Vibrant neighborhood

Guests say this area is walkable with lots to explore, especially for dining out.
Located in a lovingly renovated 1843 church, this small apartment boasts a queen-size bed, full bathroom, kitchenette with table for 3, and comfy sofa. You'll be in the middle of all Market Street has to offer — steps from Rabbit Hole Distillery, Nouvelle Wine Bar, Garage Bar, and tons more. A 10-minute ride from the airport, you'll be half a mile from Slugger Field, and 1 mile from the YUM! and Convention Centers.

The space
Groove along to some retro vinyl by local artists under the mirrored disco ball in the last US city to still make them. This antebellum property also benefits from exposed brickwork and beams, street art, and a bathroom with creative tilework.

The Parsonage is on the second floor of the building with lovely views of the courtyard. Access is via an exterior stairway, so guests should be comfortable climbing a flight of stairs to their residence. The entrance is shared, but the residence, including the bedroom, lounge, bathroom, and kitchenette, are private to you. There is shared laundry on the second floor.

Located at the corner of South Clay Street and Nanny Goat Strut, we named our restored property the Holy Goat and now has four individual residencies: The Parsonage, Fellowship Hall, Ali Suite, and Braden Suite, which can be booked individually or combined to house up to 16. No Parties or large gatherings- only registered guests after 10PM quiet hours.

Guest access
Guests will have access to their private 600sf apartment with kitchenette and bathroom, as well as the beautifully maintained shared courtyard, which is perfect for meditation, working outdoors, or enjoying a cocktail.

There is a shared laundry facility just inside the main entrance, which guests are welcome to use.

Other things to note
As this is a historic building in a bustling neighborhood, you might hear noise from the alley alongside the building. For your comfort, you will find a noise cancellation machine and ear plugs in your room. Because we have residence below we also ask that you walk softly on the floors (no shoes recommended) and have quiet times before 10am and after 10pm.

If you are traveling with children, please let us know if you'd like use of our travel crib. With advance notice, we can provide a stash of kids books, toys, dishes, and baby wash.

Neighborhood highlights

NuLu and Market Street are THE happening spots in Louisville. We are walking distance to Whisky Row and distilleries, downtown museums, Slugger field, waterfront park, the pedestrian bridge, the skate park, and a plethora of shops and restaurants. The list of dining options is expansive and varied. You will find everything from a delicious handmade muffin at Please & Thank You to a decadent 3 course meal at Wiltshire on Market. There are intriguing shops and galleries on Market Street and scattered throughout the neighborhood. Ride shares like Lyft or Uber can be booked at all hours. Our favorite thing about this neighborhood are the warm neighbors, business owners, service providers and shop keepers that call NuLu home.
