THE 400-YEAR-OLD OAK: Relax in the swing chair nestled under the canopy of a majestic, ancient oak. It is the perfect spot to watch the diffused mountain light hit the sparkling globe tucked in the branches.

THE FIRE PIT CHANDELIER: Gather at the bottom of our lush acre for sunset drinks by the fire pit, illuminated by a crystal chandelier for a touch of rustic elegance.

SECLUDED RETREATS: Discover numerous intimate seating areas throughout the grounds, including a dreamy daybed nestled under the elderberry tree—perfect for afternoon naps.

ACRE OF MAGIC: Stroll through a landscape of Sequoias, Oaks, Pines, and Spruces to find your favorite front-row seat to the sea of twinkling city lights below.

FURRY FRIENDS: We welcome up to 2 dogs to join your mountain adventure ($50 pet fee).

GARDEN EXPLORING: With a full acre of lush landscape, there is plenty of space for your companions to enjoy the fresh air.

HIKING: You’ll find incredible trails located all around the property for you and your dogs to explore.

We value your peace. While I am available to assist you, I generally keep a low profile to ensure you feel completely at home. The suite is entirely private, separated from the main 1942-built home by locked doors on both sides.

Ample parking is available on-site in the driveway, followed by a short, scenic walk to your private suite.

Self-check-in is available for a seamless arrival.

SPECIAL VEHICLES

MOTORBIKES: Secure garage parking is available specifically for guests traveling by motorcycle.

ELECTRIC VEHICLES: EV CHARGING (LEVEL 1): We offer a dedicated 110V regular outlet in the driveway for free overnight charging (Level 1). Please bring your own charging cable.

WEATHER & PREPAREDNESS

MOUNTAIN FORECASTS: Weather can change quickly. For the most accurate local updates, visit website lakegregoryweather. I will also send you a forecast ahead of your winter stay.

COZY AMENITIES: We have A/C, central heating, and a backup generator to ensure your comfort during power outages.

WHAT TO PACK: Bring warm layers for chilly nights, even in Spring and Fall.

WINTER DRIVING & SNOW

VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS: During snowy months, 4WD or AWD is highly recommended. You must carry tire chains when they are mandatory; mountain access is often restricted without them.

ROAD CONDITIONS: I recommend using the CalTrans Quickmap app for real-time updates on road closures and detours.

SNOW CLEARING: When it snows, the street is plowed, and I personally clear the driveway. You are welcome to park in the carport to keep your vehicle protected.

GARDEN NAVIGATION

NATURAL TERRAIN: Our garden features uneven ground and slopes without handrails throughout. If you have difficulty walking on inclines, please note that navigating the full acre may be challenging.

Nestled along the scenic rim of the San Bernardino Mountains, Holly Hill Chalet is located in a quiet, residential area of Crestline—perfect for guests seeking peace, privacy, and fresh mountain air, while still being close to local conveniences.

Crestline is a picturesque mountain-and-lake community surrounded by lush forests, offering an ideal escape for nature lovers. The area is known for its relaxed pace, hiking trails, and easy access to outdoor activities year-round.

Just 7 minutes away is Lake Gregory, the heart of Crestline. Here you’ll find:
• A large, well-appointed grocery store with a deli and juice/coffee bar
• Charming secondhand and antique shops
• A handful of casual restaurants and local eateries

In the warmer months, Lake Gregory is open to the public and features:
• A small beach area
• Water toys and a large water slide (fun for kids and adults)
• Walking and hiking trails around the lake
• A meadow with a walking track
• Kayak rentals and designated swimming areas

In winter, guests are perfectly positioned for skiing and snow play, with Snow Valley Mountain Resort just about 40 minutes away, making Holly Hill Chalet a convenient base for skiers and snowboarders without the crowds of larger resorts.

A short scenic drive brings you to Blue Jay and Lake Arrowhead (about 20 minutes), where you’ll find:
• Additional grocery stores, Starbucks, and a Rite Aid
• The Blue Jay Cinema (the mountain’s only movie theater)
• Restaurants, wine and cheese shops, ice cream and candy stores
• Mini golf, a small theme park for kids, and a dog park

At Lake Arrowhead, guests can also enjoy:

• A charming riverboat-style lake cruise offering insights into the area’s history


We recommend spending an afternoon exploring Lake Arrowhead and enjoying a meal by the water—it’s a beautiful and memorable experience.

Despite being close to all of this, Holly Hill Chalet remains tucked away in a very quiet neighborhood, surrounded by trees and offering breathtaking views of the mountains and city lights below.
