If peace and quiet is what you’re looking for in a vacation spot you’ve come to the right place. Hideaway Tiny Cabin is 320 square feet of secluded lodging on our homestead of 8 acres. You’ll be surrounded by wildflowers and the sounds of nature while amenities are only a 5 minute car ride away. Enjoy a hot cup of coffee in the morning while enjoying the screened in porch attached to the cabin. There’s a fire pit right out front with firewood available on premise. Relax and destress.

The space
The cabin is a cozy space that is similar to a studio apartment. There is one large room that accommodates the bedroom, living room, kitchenette, entrance, and a separate bathroom with a toilet, washstand, and stall shower. We have taken the space and worked hard to make every square inch functional for a comfortable stay. This space is ideal for 2 people who are looking for a base camp situation who want to do day trips and have a cozy, quiet, private, and out-of-the-way space to come back to at night. In the summer, one of the nice things about the warm weather is that it cools down nicely at night. We have fans in the cabin which cool the cabin down nicely or an air conditioner for those who prefer it.

The property is situated on our 8 acres and holds many apple trees along with wild blackberries and raspberries in season which our guests are welcome to forage and walk the property. There is also a rock cleaning station for you to clean your rocks after a day of rock hunting. You have your own private fire pit with your first bundle of wood free and access to more wood for a fee. You can pull your vehicle right up to the cabin for convenience. There is a covered screen porch with zero gravity recliners and party lights so you can enjoy the outdoors day or night if you're staying at a time of year when the bugs are out.

We understand many of our guests need to stay connected to the "grid", so we have internet access in the cabin.

Winter time is a very special time at Hideaway Tiny Cabin. We're open all year around so feel free to check us out for your winter getaway plans. We're close to snowmobile trails and you can park your snow sled right in front of the cabin. There's plenty of space to store your gear too. If you like to snowshoe or cross country ski we have trails broke on the property so you can hike around the property or check out one of the many groomed trails in the area.

We heat the cabin and 2 other buildings with an outdoor wood boiler. There's nothing like wood heat to keep you toasty in the winter. We maintain the boiler so all you have to do is turn the thermostat up or down to your desired temperature. There's also an infrared fireplace to sit in front of while you're relaxing with your favorite beverage and/or streaming your favorite program.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire cabin and are free to walk around the property and forage for wild raspberries and blackberries.

In the winter there will be trails broken for cross country skiing and snowshoeing. If you have an ATV in the summer or a snowsled in the winter you can pull your vehicle right up to the cabin.

There's a large open private area in front of the cabin with a fire pit and lots of room to run around or play your favorite lawn game.

Other things to note
If you're looking to visit the Upper Peninsula and the Curtis area we hope you'll consider staying at the Hideaway Tiny Cabin. We've got some GREAT additions to your stay we are in the process of implementing for 2025. Please note the following to assure the tiny cabin meets your needs:

We offer Internet so you can stream your favorite channels.

Although the listing says the cabin will accommodate 4 people, it's most comfortable with 2 people and up to 2 children maximum or 3 people. Please keep in mind there's a queen size bed with a double size fold out sofa and the space is 320 square feet.

The sofa folds out to a double bed and has an updated memory foam mattress this year.

A patio set that seats 4 will be added to the outdoor screened patio so you can enjoy an al fresco dining experience.

Outdoor games such as croquet, badminton, and cornhole will be available. There's a large private area in front of the cabin that's perfect for your enjoyment.

In addition to the small refrigerator in the cabin, a full size refrigerator with freezer is on the patio for your convenience.

A rock cleaning station is available for those rock hounds to clean your treasures after a day of rock hunting..

We're constantly striving to make your stay a memorable and pleasurable one!
