Perfect for a personal retreat or romantic getaway, the Studio at The Hemptons is situated on 70 stunning acres. Formerly a tractor shed, we gave it a total overall and now it makes for the perfect escape. The space features a warm wood interior, concrete floors and open kitchen. The king bed is tucked into a cozy alcove and light bounds throughout the open layout.
The space
Guests are free to wander about and explore the sprawling property. We are located 10 minutes to Chatham, 20 minutes to Hudson and 30 to Tanglewood and the Berkshires. The Studio has a spacious and airy feel, yet also gives quaint and cozy vibes. Fully equipped, it makes for a perfect get away for the week. It's a peaceful space to relax, work or use as a home base to explore the area. We have a strict "no shoes" policy and while we love pets, they are not allowed.
Guest access
We have 70 acres of fields and woods with trails and all guests are free to roam and explore. However, we ask everyone to respect the space of other guests.
Other things to note
- There is a four-burner stovetop, but NO FULL OVEN in the kitchen. There is, however, an air-fryer/toaster oven.
- Guests who book for a week or (longer) have access to the washer/dryer.

We encourage all of our guests to support local restaurants! We are lucky to have a slew of fantastic local eateries, including Chatham Brewing, Fiesta Cafe, Bimi's, Local 111, Roe Jan Brewing, just to name a few -- all within a 10-minute drive. And while there is plenty of land to explore on-site, definitely check out the surrounding areas like Taconic State Park, Catamount Mountain Resort, OMI Art Center and Beebe Hill State Forest, all located nearby.

My partner and I established The Hemptons in 2018 when she went away for a long weekend and then came home and I announced "We bought a farm!" Several years (and many lessons learned later), it has evolved in a way we could not have imagined, and we're excited to share our home with you. We want our guests to have a great time and expect everyone to respect the space and land and each other. All love, no drama, yay nature --that's the motto here!
