Beautiful and walkable

Sitting near 5000 feet, this modern highland style mountain home is centrally located; convenient to Fred’s General Mercantile, restaurants, a pub and even a dog park. The ski resort is in view from the back deck. Cozy up around the propane fire pit and watch the action on the slopes. This newer home has air conditioning, heat, and an easy to use gas fireplace. The mobility friendly layout works well for guests who prefer fewer steps and welcomes guests with a wide range of mobility levels.

The space
Our home is accessed via two small steps, making it a great choice for those with mobility issues. As you enter, you are greeted with an open plan kitchen/dining and living area. The stone fireplace, soaring ceilings and warm wood give it the perfect cozy cabin vibe. On this main level, you will also find the first bedroom with a king bed, ensuite bathroom with walk in shower, an additional half bath with laundry and access to the back deck. Up one flight of stairs, is the second king bedroom with another full bathroom with tub/shower combo. If your group needs extra sleeping accommodations, the sofa in the living room is a queen pull out and the upstairs bedroom has a fold out bed that can sleep additional person.

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS

Nearby attractions are numerous - ranging from Grandfather Mountain with its mile high swinging bridge to quaint mountain towns begging to be explored. Zoom thru the trees on an alpine coaster, zip line or indulge your inner child on the town sledding hill. Wineries and breweries offer tastings, music and mountain views.

We have exterior cameras viewing the front and back doors. They are for security purposes only. They do not view any interior areas. We respect your privacy during your stay. The cameras are motion activated and record audio and video.

We allow up to 2 mature, well trained dogs. We do not allow cats or other pets. There is a one time fee of $100 per stay. Please include your dog(s) in your reservation so that AirBnb will automatically apply the fee. While we are dog friendly, our insurance limits a few breeds from staying - They include: Akita, American Staffordshire Terrier, Chow, Doberman Pinscher, Pit Bull, Presa Canario, Rottweiler and wolf hybrid. Please pick up pet waste.

We supply a start kit including toilet paper, paper towels, small bath soaps, garbage bags, dish soap, dishwasher and laundry pods. You may need to purchase additional supplies depending on the length of your stay and usage.

In winter months, 4-wheel/all wheel and/or snow chains are necessary to navigate our mountain roads. The roads are well maintained, but an appropriate vehicle is necessary. No refunds will be given if your vehicle is unable to access the mountain or the cabin.
