Cute, clean and cared for 1900's cottage literally on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee offering you the chance to relax and get away. This 934 sq ft waterfront camp is located in the quaint town of Alton Bay, NH and offers an open concept living/dining w/ fireplace insert for heat/ambiance, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, bath and an amazing screen porch. Our guests have said it is truly something special and that view! This is lakeside living the way it was meant to be. Host is a licensed NH Realtor.

The space
This vintage waterfront cottage is truly something special. While there is nothing fancy here but the internet, it is truly loved, well cared for and maintained and has all your basic needs so that you can just come, enjoy and relax. Harold's Camp, built by Harold himself in the early 1900's literally sitting 10 feet from waters edge making the term lakeside living accurate. Outdoors you will find a front patio, cozy side yard with a hammock nestled in the pine trees, a Breeo fire pit surrounded by Adirondack loveseats, gas grill, picnic table, large deep water boat dock that is all yours during your stay and a great set of stairs right into the lake for easy swimming/kayaking right off the shore. There are also kayaks on site for you to enjoy. Inside you will find an open concept living/dining/kitchen space as well as an amazing screen porch giving you several options for dining and sitting. The home has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and tv and the second with two twins beds. All bed linens are provided. There is also a renovated 3/4 bath with a stand up shower. Bath towels and beach towels are provided . There is a large private driveway to park and even store your boat trailer if you plan to bring a boat just let us know and the home is located on a great paved road awesome for walking/bicycling.

Other things to note
The house is stocked and ready for you to enjoy. In the kitchen you will find all the basic pots, pans, silverware, plates, spatulas, spices, etc - please just bring your own food and fancy condiments. There is always plenty of toilet paper and paper towels. The beds will all be made and ready for you upon arrival as well as bathroom towelsl. There is a tv in the main living room and in the queen bedroom both with basic cable and TVO so you can log into your Netflix account if you so choose. Please note that this is a seasonal vintage cottage with no true central heating system. There is a really lovely propane fireplace insert that runs off a thermostat to take the chill out of the cold nights or if you want a little ambiance or romance you are good to go but early spring and late fall can be a bit chilly. There are extra blankets and sheets on site if needed in the garage. Please note there is no central air or air conditioning due to the way this cute camp was built but nice ceiling fans have been installed to take the edge off and if you open the doors and windows the lake breeze can be amazing. We provide the basic wood for outdoor fires. We hope you choose Harold's Camp for your getaway to Lake Winnipesaukee.

Reminder of some of our basic policies and rules:
- No smoking
- No pets allowed
- No events, parties, or large gatherings
- Please be respectful of the neighbors and observe reasonable quiet hours
- No fireworks
- Guests are limited to a max of 4 overnight guests and 4 additional daytime guests
-There is only one outdoor camera that faces the driveway to ensure the security of the property and guest count & that no pets are on site.

This is a seasonal rental only from May 8th - October 16th for the 2026 Season. Check in's and Check Out's are available on Monday's and Fridays. Let us know if we can help!

Situated in Alton Bay right off of Route 11D on a nicely paved road great for walking or biking and minutes to restaurants by car or boat. There is plenty of hiking in the area and right down the street from Mount Major, there are two close by public boat launch ramp (2 right in Alton bay) and even the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion, Gunstock Mountain Resort and Weirs Beach & Funspot all close by. Plan your trips by lake or by land while you stay - any questions on activities do not hesitate to ask - we are local and love it here and would love to share some of our favorite places.
