Neighborhood highlights

Ballard is a beautiful annexed neighborhood in Seattle with Scandinavian roots and plenty of famous attractions. Our favorite is the Ballard Locks, where you can watch boats go up and down a water elevator between Lake Union and the Puget Sound, as well as the adjacent fish ladder where you can watch from an underwater viewing area as salmon make their way upstream through a human-made channel up the dam.
