After coffee, use one of the beautiful gardens for your personal self guided Yoga or Meditation followed by a hike to either of our two beaches. Hakalau Beach is a 2 mile round trip walk offering views of Mauna Kea, the beautiful Hakalau river with waterfalls and lush tropical plants, and a serene and beautiful, raw, Hawaiian beach. When you arrive to the beach, it will most likely be all yours as you explore the ruins of an old sugar plantation and look at the amazement of the natural beauty of Hawaii. For a heartier adventure, walk to Kole Kole Beach, a 5-mile round trip walk discovering lush jungle, a waterfall you can swim under, and a beautiful river. Once back, you can jump into the pool for a refreshing swim in the 25-meter lane pool. When done, settle into any of our four gardens with a good book or bring a pillow for a nap on one of the loungers. After lunch, walk the gardens, visit the farmers market, or arrange for an optional inhouse experience. During the winter months, watch the whales frolic right off the property. At night, enjoy the back lanai of the main house or get into the spa and watch the stars unfold. For privacy, head to the lower garden and sit by yourself surrounded by the ocean on three sides with waves crashing on the rocks below as you drift away to another world in one of the most beautiful spots on this earth. Anything you want is possible and arrangements can be made with the host.

More on the Property: Designed to be net-zero estate, Hale Laule'a is made of recycled and sustainable materials, makes its own electricity and water, and grows food for the property and island on site. The property has 4 rentable units, two that are non-cooking, bed and breakfast suites, the Ocean Suite and the Banyan Suite, and 2 stand alone apartments with cooking facilities, the Carriage House and Solar Suite. All 4 units have separate entrances, are private spaces, and do not share indoor living space. The main house of Hale Laule'a and the estate property offers common, outdoor space for all units to include the pool lanai and 25 meter pool/spa; a micro orchard; a small animal area; and multiple, private gardens including the spectacular lower garden surrounded by the ocean. These gardens, spread over 5 acres, are the main reason why we share our property with you, the land, the Aina. These gardens are available for your use for self led meditation, yoga or personal needs to find your own peace and Ho'olaule'a. The number one comment from guests is that our pictures do not do the property justice (see comments). The problem is it's hard to capture the beauty of our property in pictures alone. It's more than pictures. It's the history and spirit of the land, the beautiful artistic designs of the buildings and layout of the property, the peacefulness of the ocean, the rawness of the cliff edge and 2 walkable beaches, the meticulous manicured gardens, the breathtaking sunrises and star filled night sky, the colorful vibrant birds, the gigantic trees and oh so much more.
