The Great Wood guest house is a quiet, self-catering lodging option that maintains a high level of cleanliness and comfort for our guests. It is ideal for remote working & mid-long term stays. Length of stay discounts available!
The space
It’s location offers:
* 5 min walk to Rowallane Gardens
* 10 min walk to Saintfield’s Saturday Market
* 10 min walk to The White Horse restaurant and pub (no need to book that taxi!)
* 8 min drive to Hinch Distillery
* 9 min drive to Rockmount Golf Club
* 20 min drive to Belfast city center
* 30 min drive to the Mourne Mountain range that offers fantastic hiking options.
BEDROOM:
A wonderfully light and spacious room with a king-sized (American queen) bed. There is space available in the room to have single beds set up as well, or those can be set up in the main living space downstairs. So the guest house could sleep a total of x4 people.
A booking of more than x2 people will have a £10 charge per extra person. Children under 3 years of age are exempt.
BATHROOMS:
The guest suite offers two separate bathrooms. The upstairs contains the main bathroom, complete with a bathtub. The downstairs bathroom offers a powerful shower (guests have been known to tell us in person that it was ‘one of the best showers they’ve had’, so, just saying… ha!).
LIVINGROOM:
Upon arrival, you'll find a spacious yet cozy open-plan living space. Dining space on one end and comfortable seating for relaxing.
A 55” flatscreen smart TV, Hifi stereo system, and multi-regional DVD player is all available for the best movie and show watching moments! We have a wide selection of DVD’s and series to choose from.

KITCHEN:
The kitchen is fully equipped with all the basics needed for a self catering stay.
PARKING:
There is parking space on the property enough for one larger vehicle, or 2 small vehicles. Free street parking is also available.
WIFI: Is available throughout the property.

The guest house is a completely self-contained extension of our home. It has it’s own private walkway, entrance, and front garden.

Ryan is from Bangor, Northern Ireland, and Stephanie is originally from Springfield, Missouri in the States. They have 3 children, Everett, Kyla, and Heath. Ryan works in Marketing and Stephanie is an at home parent which allows her to manage their guest house.
