GPFC, originally our grandparents' orchard. It covers an area of 1600 square meters, separated by a wall from Chiang Mai University, 5 minutes to Nimman Road, and 15 minutes to the old city. It is a rare “urban oasis”, with the convenience of the city and the tranquility of the forest.

40 years ago, my grandfather was an agricultural expert who came from Taiwan to Chiang Mai. For more than a decade, he traveled all over Thailand, going up and down the mountains to teach Thai farmers the secrets of fruit cultivation, making a significant contribution to agriculture in northern Thailand, and was rewarded by the Thai government, and gradually settled in Chiang Mai with his grandmother.

About 20 years ago, my grandparents overcame the hot weather in Thailand and tried to grow “Taiwanese fruits” at GPFC: pink mangoes as big as palms, red guavas that cannot be bought on the market, grapes growing on branches, “mystery fruits” that turn sour to sweet...

The Camping Villa is a teak cabin with a Northern Thai Lanna style, from the walls to the floors. Two floors in the house, 6m high. There is an outdoor kitchen and a 50 sqm pavilion outside the house. Even in the hot sun, you can sit in the gazebo, eat our unique fruits, and feel the rare quiet and cool breeze.

We also designed the camp area, where you can bring your own tent or rent a tent to camp. 1600 sqm, only one group of guests, no outside interference, safe and secure during the pandemic.

“GPFC” stands for “Grandparents Fruit Camp”. Here, in addition to sharing the Taiwanese specialty fruits grown by grandparents, we also hope to let the elderly spend their retirement time and exchange life stories with more people.

The space
GPFC is not a standard hotel listing!

1. The house is a teak structure (from wall to floor), the sound insulation is not comparable to that of reinforced concrete structure houses. If you are a light sleeper, it is recommended to bring your own earplugs. The living facilities are also not comparable to those of a hotel.

2. The wooden house is a 1.5-story structure, the 1st floor contains a living room, a room, a bathroom, and an attic up the stairs of the 1st floor guest room. Maximum of 4 people can stay. However, since the room design is not completely enclosed, 4 people traveling together need to share the room area and bathroom on the 1st floor. Recommended for families or girlfriends traveling together. If you are concerned about privacy, this property may not be suitable

3. Although it is located in the center of the city, it is at the deepest part of the alley, surrounded by local neighbors, sparsely populated, very quiet, and suitable for guests who like to relax in nature. At the same time, the house + orchard is 1600 sqm +, the area is large, and it is only open to one group of guests. If you have questions or concerns about late-night security, we recommend choosing a home on the roadside in the city.

4. We hope everyone enjoys nature, there is no Wi-Fi in the house

5. Due to the natural environment, various tropical reptiles and other creatures are unavoidable.
6. Please keep quiet in the outdoor area after 10pm
7. No smoking in the city areas. Please do not make a fire during your stay, thank you for your understanding
8. The accommodation fee does not include tent equipment, you can bring your own equipment to camp or rent a tent. Please inquire about the fees
9. GPFC is large, there will be gardeners to take care of the fruit trees during the day but it will not affect your rest, thank you for your understanding

Other things to note
1. Please keep quiet in the outdoor area after 10pm
2. Heavy smoking is prohibited within the city. Please do not make a fire during your stay, thank you for your understanding
3. The accommodation fee does not include tent equipment, you can bring your own equipment to camp or rent a tent. Please inquire about the cost.
