Other things to note
Four Gates Barn is in a rural location.

Chapel Porth beach is a 40 minute walk along a coastal path with some main road involved , no foot paths and a 10 minute drive, Porthtowan beach is also a 40 minute walk but some of it along a busy road with no footpath and a 5 minute drive, at peak times you will need to arrive early to park as the car parks fill up.

Other beaches in the area are Portreath, Trevaunance Cove, St Agnes and Perranporth to name a few.

There is a pub a mile away, The Victory Inn, the road to this does not have a footpath and some verges.

There is always plenty to do in Cornwall, be it kyaking, sup boarding body boarding or surfing, surf lessons can be booked at many of our beaches, most beaches are lifeguarded between April and October, but always check before entering the sea.

Please check tide times online for up to date information as the tides change daily.

There’s is an abundance of beautiful walks be it coastal or woodland such as Tehidy woods, Lanhydrock, Cardinham or Trelissick.

Maybe hire a bike and cycle the trails such as the Camel Trail from Bodmin via Wadebridge to Padstow or Portreath.

There is so many fabulous places to eat out too, but do remember to book your table to avoid disappointment.

There any so many beaches and coastal walks that are within easy reach such as St Agnes, Porthtowan, Chapel Porth, Perranporth, Portreath and St Ives.
Many beaches have restricted times for dogs this information can be found on the Cornwall. Gov website.

With Cornwall having a North and South Coast, don’t assume if it’s overcast on the North Coast that the weather is going to be that way for the whole of Cornwall, with a trip to the South coast or a quick check on a local webcam you could find a total contrast in the weather and blue skies and sunshine on the opposite coastline.
