Our beautiful secluded shepherd's hut is located on a working arable farm. Sylishly decorated and comfortable, with a small kitchenette; en-suite bathroom complete with shower and a woodburner for those cooler evenings. Set in 3/4 acre of grassed space with a wooded backdrop and views of the Ridgeway, the tranquil setting will allow you to relax, especially while luxuriating in the wood fired hot tub. Parking is at the farm, but access to hut is on foot only (300m). NOT Bourton on the Water
The space
The shepherds hut has a double bed, small kitchenette and bathroom. It is environmentally friendly, with electricity provided by solar panels and leisure batteries, this means that while you will be able to charge mobile devices, other electrical items such as hairdryers will not be operable. Inside the hut there is also a wood burning stove to help keep you warm on the cooler evenings.
The fully functioning en-suite bathroom has hot and cold running water, shower and a flushing toilet. Hot water inside the hut is provided by a lpg fired boiler. The hot tub is heated by a wood fire 🔥
Guest access
Guests will have sole occupancy of the 1/3 acre site. It is important to remember that there is no vehicle access to the shepherds hut. Access is via a 5min walk down a grassed path. A festival style trolley is available to help transport luggage if needed
Other things to note
We are NOT Bourton on the Water! While the shepherd's hut is designed for 2, if you have a larger family there is plenty of room to pitch a tent for additional family guests. Please contact us to discuss further and be aware that the facilities would need to be shared!
The hut contains a kitchenette area with a 2 ring gas hob and coolbox, but the focal point for cooking if you intend to do so, will be the traditional kadai firepit located outside to allow you to enjoy the view while dining al fresco.
All cooking and eating implements are provided and we also provide staple supplies such as tea, coffee, sugar, oil, salt and pepper for your comfort.
To complete the glamping experience, you can relax in the wood fired hot tub designed for 2 and luxuriate in the peace and tranquil isolation of Fern Copse.
