Living areas:
cosy & colourful with a multi-fuel burner which I use most of the time except summer, dining suite and sofas.
Kitchen:
pretty much fully equipped - no need for takeaways or restaurants.
Transport:
60 metres from the bus stops with frequent buses to Wansbeck Hosp, Newcastle, Blyth etc.

Rail line, Ashington - Newcastle. 30mins
The room has an inbuilt desk.
The space
I have two first-floor bedrooms to let, both double beds.
Rear bedroom:
- very quiet and suitable for shift workers, couples or studying in the dedicated area.

Front bedroom:
- has traffic noise during the day but is quiet at night - I sleep in the another front bedroom. It's a smaller room and is only suitable for couples on shorter stays because of this.

Shared space:
- on the ground floor, is colourfully cosy and comfortable with TV lounge, dining and kitchen areas. The single shared bathroom is also on the ground floor. I have no bath, just a good shower with overhead and handset sprays.

During your stay
I have part-time work but usually I'm available most of the time and keep in touch verbally or through messaging etc. I like to chat and interact with my guests, many of whom have become friends.
Other things to note
The TV has no terrestrial television, only streaming through 5G broadband. Guests can use my WiFi but also note that the 5G signal is very good in my location so with your 5G phone as a hotspot you're laughing. The raw data speed I get on this side of the house is up to 400Mb/s

Neighborhood highlights
My house is a mile from the beach with Charlton's pub/restaurant. Lovely river walks that lead to that beach are just 300 yards away. The nearby wide expanse of Druridge Bay and its dunes lead you north to enter the land of castles, nature reserves, the National Park & Cheviot Hills.
South is Newcastle, universities, shopping and entertainment. West is Roman Wall country and a tad north is Kielder with the lake, boats, forest, riding and walks.
In my local area are the local amenities you'd expect for a small town.
A pub, post office & corner shop are on my doorstep next to the bus stops. A health centre is next to the Post Office.
