Escape on Lake is a recently renovated, family and dog friendly rental property in the heart of Detroit Lakes. We are within walking distance to the city beach, boat access, hospital, hockey arena, and many local restaurants/bars. It is perfect for a family getaway or small gathering of friends, or for traveling employees. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, access to washer/dryer, fully loaded kitchen, and other basic amenities will make you feel right at home. Spacious yard for yard games and relaxing!!

The space
Please take the time to read and agree to our rules before booking the Escape on Lake. We cannot rent our property to people who haven’t assured us they will take excellent care of our home and be respectful of the neighborhood and its neighbors. Each rule is for the protection of our guests, our neighbors, and our home.

KITCHEN:
Our kitchen is complete with seating for five and includes a dishwasher, microwave and electric range. We have an additional card table and chairs for you to use throughout the duration of your stay. We provide basic small appliances (crockpot, blender, toaster, keurig coffee maker, griddle) for you to use as well as basic cooking spices and oils. Complementary tea, coffee, cream and sugar is provided as well.

LIVING SPACE:
Our living area has a television, sofa couch and a trundle day bed complete with two twins for additional sleeping space. We provide board/card games, children's toys and books for guests to use during their stay. Guests are able to use their own streaming accounts on our televisions.

MAIN FLOOR BATHROOM:
The main floor bathroom is complete with a spacious large vanity, full size washer and dryer and beautifully tiled shower. Dryer pods and bounce sheets are provided for guests in addition to towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. We also provide a blow dryer, disposable face wipes, tooth picks and q-tips for guests to use.

UPSTAIRS BEDROOMS:
Upstairs you will find two bedrooms complete with queen beds in each room. One bedroom is complete with a television and the second bedroom has space for a twin air mattress or pack and play (both provided). Black out curtains and shades are provided as well as a noise machine. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans and additional heaters for your comfort during the cold and hot months to keep guests comfortable.

UPSTAIRS BATHROOM:
This beautiful updated bathroom features a large soaking tub to enjoy during your stay. Bath salts, kids body and hair wash and towels are provided for guests to use.

OUTDOOR SPACE:
Our back patio is complete with an outdoor sectional, dining table and chairs for 6, propane grill and fire table, yard games, beach toys/chairs and more!

DOGS:
We are a dog-friendly short term rental and allow our guests to bring dogs for a small additional fee. Dogs are expected to be in a crate if left alone at the house at all. We also expect dogs to not go on our furniture.We ask that guests read our rules on dogs prior to booking. We provide disposable waste bags for pets, treats and water bowls for dogs to enjoy during our stay.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire home, with the exception of one small closet used for owners supplies. Guests will access the house via a digital keypad with a code unique to each guests during their stay.

Other things to note
We encourage all guests to purchase the travel protection offered during checkout. This insurance can provide valuable coverage in the event of unexpected personal emergencies or last-minute cancellations.

Please note that our cancellation policy is strictly enforced, and we are unable to make exceptions outside of its terms.

Our home is located in the heart of Detroit Lakes, MN. We are within walking distance to the city beach, hockey arena, public boat access, shopping mall, many popular bars and restaurants and downtown Detroit Lakes. There are also boat and jet ski rentals within walking distance from our home. Our neighborhood is a quiet, residential, family-friendly neighborhood.
