Cosy, spacious 18ft yurt, set in your own secluded acre of nature, managed for diversity and wildlife, on the edge of a farming village with woodland walks and views across the vale of avalon towards the Tor.
Sleeps 4. Comfortable king-sized bed (or breaks down into 2 single beds) , and up to two extra singles on request. Star gaze through the enormous crown window!
Outdoor firepit, open fronted barn kitchen.
Easy access to Glastonbury, Avalon Marshes, RSPB reserves.
The space
A spacious, beautiful locally made Ash Yurt. Thick felted wool lining, insulated floor and efficient hand crafted windy smithy wood burner. There is solar lighting in the yurt and an artisan built dry composting toilet made using local fallen timber.
All bed linen provided. King sized bed, or 2 single beds, an extra 2 guests on request. I provide a large basket of logs, kindling, cleaning products, plenty of drinking and washing water. There are many extras (maps/books/games etc) alongside all crockery, cooking equipment, outdoor firepit, cast iron dutch oven, pans, skillet etc if you prefer to cook out on a fire and there is a 2 ring hob in the open fronted barn kitchen adjacent to the yurt, overlooking the meadow.
Extra logs available to purchase.
This is a truly magical place to retreat into nature with a special energy. It has been created as a therapeutic healing space for both humans and nature and you will find many native medicinal plants growing.

Exclusive private use of the secluded one acre site. Enclosed by mature hedging and trees, it feels wild yet has easy access. The yurt sits in the centre of a gently sloping wildflower meadow, with many medicial herbs, small orchard and coppice.
There is secure parking on site.
Other things to note
Please note there is no running water /shower on site
I provide bottled drinking water and washing up water.
There is no fridge or cool box. Please bring what you need to keep food cool.
Please only use the wood I have provided in the wood burner
Please no shoes or candles inside the yurt and no dogs on furniture/in bed
Do not use coal or your own wood in the wood burner.
No smoking inside any structure, only by the outdoor fire pit
Dogs on leads and cleared up after. This is also a working space for my herbal buisness and there are livestock in neighbouring fields.
Children must be supervised at ALL TIMES. You are responsible for their wellbeing. The site is also a working wild herb garden.
Ensure gas is fully turned off on hob and do not leave site leaving the woodstove lit.
If there are more than two of you staying please make sure you add these to your booking so I can prepare extra beds and bedding. I do not live on site and so would not be able to add extra guest provision without
prior booking.
The site is next to a working farm. Sometimes you may hear the two nearby properties.
A small country road runs alongside the land.
I cannot be held responsible for any personal accidents, losses or damage during your stay.
