It's nestled in beautiful countryside, set on 50 acres of land, Room to explore(on private property)through the forest and fields. Finish the day with camp fires and Smores. Then climb into your warm bed and dream about your adventures for tomorrow! Be kayaking in the Allegheny reservoir in 10 minutes drive!

The space

Located in Scandia pa. 7 miles East of Russell pa. Secluded private location.
**(This apartment is the lower half of our home!) We live in the upper half. 1 bedroom, one bath apartment located in the beautiful countryside, on 50 acres, away from the sights and sounds of the city.

Outside Features:
- Minutes from Allegheny National Forest and Allegheny Reservoir!
- We have a list of areas for hiking, Biking, ATV riding and Kayaking as well as places to eat. Brochures as well.
- Excellent star gazing!
- Explore the forest over 50 acres of land!
- Beautiful sitting places for relaxation and reflection!
- Bonfires and BBQ grill area!
- Many species of animals to possibly observe (deer, bobcats, fishers, bears, Sasquatch, turkeys, red tail hawks, coyotes, eagles, etc)
- Ample parking for vehicles, Boats, RV's, horse trailers, (please call for details)

- The community is located in the highest elevation in Warren county. All roads lead to Scandia !
- The local community has a Country store with organic goods, a church, a craft store, and a historical museum built in a two room schoolhouse.
- Warren, Pennsylvania is a quick 10-15 minute drive away. (Warren includes a Walmart Plaza, a mall, numerous restaurants, a movie theater, and almost any other necessary amenity.)
- 10 minute drive to the Allegheny reservoir (great boating and swimming location)
- 5 minute drive to Red Oaks (swimming, put put golf, small store)
- 5 minute drive from Blueberry golf course.
- just minutes from the Allegheny Forest
- 30 minute drive to the Kinzua Dam (one of the largest Dams in the USA - featured in the song "As Long As The Grass Shall Grow" by Johnny Cash)
- 45 minute scenic drive to the Allegheny national forest (camping, hiking, biking, fishing, boating, bird watching, kayaking, etc)
- Many places to hike (Rim rock and Jakes rocks to name a few)
- New mountain biking trail near Kinzua Dam.
- Many ATV trails all around Warren county.

Lower level apartment along with back porch, grill, fire pit, and land to explore/hike.
(**Motorcycles/bikers welcome, tons of country roads with great scenery, to ride on.) We have plenty of space for parking bikes, an RV, horse, boat, or ATV trailers. We even have space where a horse could be pastured or ridden. (bring your own fencing), although we don't currently have It fenced-in.

Other things to note
This newly renovated space is suitable for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids).
We have a golden labradoodle named Ruby. She may bark upon arrival. She is a nice dog but shy. Also have a Yellow cat that is very friendly.

Neighborhood highlights

Kim and I have lived here for 43 + years and we will be able to give you advice or help you find what ever it is you like to do! We live within 5-8 miles from 2 boat launches on the gorgeous Allegheny reservoir!!!
It is a very quiet neighborhood, very small community of 500. We live 600 ft off the road down long drive called Dove lane and house is on the right side. We own 50 acres of property you can freely wander/hike on. Motorcycles/bikers welcome, tons of country roads with great scenery, to ride on. We have a world class mountain biking trail in the Jakes rocks area that draws riders from all over the world not to mention hundreds of miles of country road riding!!! We are within 2 miles of golfing, country store, 5-8 miles to 2 different boat launches on the beautiful scenic Allegheny reservoir. For swimming, fishing, kayaking, boating or jet-skis'. Crime here is practically non existent! There is almost always a breeze blowing in the summer and in the winter it turns into a winter wonderland.
Warren Pennsylvania is a quaint little town situated next to the Allegheny National Forest and State forest lands. There are many trails and outdoor activities in the area with one of the most popular activity kayaking or canoeing down the Allegheny River. Warren also hosts the Struthers Library Theatre and the Crary Art Gallery, also the Warren County Courthouse.

I have been married for 43 yrs to my husband Steve, we have 3 boys and 4 grandchildren. Our life revolves around family and friends. We really enjoy the outdoors, camping and also enjoy meeting new people. This airbnb is a new adventure for us, and we hope you will be a part of it! We have lived in Scandia for 43+ years!
