The space
Dinton Castle was built in the 18th century as a romantic folly and has been carefully restored into a warm, characterful private home. During your stay, the entire castle and garden are yours to enjoy, with no shared spaces and no interruptions.

Inside, thick stone walls, bespoke joinery, cosy living spaces and carefully designed details make it feel both historic and comfortable. It is a rare chance to stay inside one of Buckinghamshire’s most distinctive landmarks.

Guests have private use of the castle, roof terrace, courtyard, outdoor seating areas and the peaceful one-acre garden. It is a compact but remarkable historic home, ideal for enjoying as a private retreat rather than a large party venue.

Other things to note
Dinton Castle sits beside the A418 between Oxford and Aylesbury, so there can be some road noise at the front of the property.

Inside, the thick stone walls make the castle feel calm and enclosed, and the rear garden offers a peaceful, private setting. I mention the road clearly because I prefer guests to know before booking, but most find the character, privacy and magic of staying in the castle far outweigh this practical point.
