Cross Row Cottage: Home from Home 2 bedroom cottage with wood burner in Hunwick. Two mins drive from KYNREN & Auckland Castle. Just 20mins drive in to Durham City. On the door step to the Durham Dales & Hamsterley Forest, Raby Castle, Bowes Museum, Beamish Museum, Shildon Railway Museum. Our village has award winning “Quarry Tea House” serving excellent food. ‘The Joiners Arms’ + food vans. 10mins walk to The Dairy Barn ice cream parlour
We also have South View Cottage in Hunwick

The space
Cross Row Cottage has fast FIBRE WIFI . The ground floor has a well-presented sitting room with wood beams and a log burner, dining table, Tv, dvd player and selection of DVD a selection of family games puzzle and reading books maps and visitor attraction information.
The kitchen has a slate floor and is well equipped with oven, microwave, slow cooker, fridge freezer and washing machine, air fryer, toaster.
Out side dining area a real sun trap.
There is room for bike storage and an outside tap.
There are two bedrooms, a double and twin bedroom one is a short single bed. A fold up single bed is also available and can be set up in the double bedroom
The bathroom has a shower over bath.
Due to the small outside area it is not suitable for pets.
Our other cottage is just 5 doors away and is also available 2 bedroom 2 bathrooms sleeps 4 and has off street parking for 1 car south view cottage

Please make sure you leave the cottage as you found it clean and tidy. Remember to empty all the rubbish bins. There are plenty of cleaning products available to use. Wash all your dishes and put them away. Remember to check all draws, cupboards, for personal items. If your able to can you strip all used beds to allow beds to air.
Check out is 10am a later time maybe possible please ask at time of booking.
If you preferer to use our local cleaning service a local charge £35 is payable

We have two cottages in Hunwick. We moved in to the village in 2000 and have been our family homes, with a home from home feel. A traditional pub and an award winning tea house on our doorstep & some great restaurants within 5mins drive. We’re just 20 mins from Durham City & 5 mins from Bishop Auckland an ideal position to explore the local area / visiting family or friends.
