Charming and cosy Crooked Nook is a 2 bedroom characterful little cottage built in the 1750s. It is quirky, filled with history but is also comfortable with mod cons! Centrally positioned in the Peak District National Park at around 25 miles to both Manchester and Sheffield, Crooked Nook is located in the tiny village of Sparrowpit (1300ft!) in the heart of fantastic cycling and walking countryside with routes, rides and paths criss- crossing the Peak District some right from the front door!

The space
Crooked Nook is a terraced cottage with a small, charming and private enclosed rear garden with tables and chairs, and a fun summer house bar for guests to enjoy. To the front is a parking space for a small/medium car and down some steps to a small area with a lockable bike storage shed- please bring your own padlock. There is also unrestricted on street parking directly outside. Inside the cottage has all you could need for a relaxing stay- a cosy lounge with wood burner (logs supplied as this is the primary source of heating), a separate kitchen with lots of worktop space and a compact light filled dining area giving access to the garden. Upstairs you will find two bedrooms-one single one double - both with great views! A modern shower room completes the upstairs.

The cottage is located within a short drive (10-15mins) of some fantastic iconic Peak District sights including Castleton, Edale, the Hope Valley, Winnats Pass, the Goyt Valley and Chrome/Parkhouse hills - just amazing!
Crooked Nook will be decorated for Christmas for the month of December!

Guest access
The cottage and gardens are entirely private for guests. You will need a car to get to the property although there is a limited bus service to Sparrowpit. The village has a well regarded farm shop and licensed cafe. Chapel-en-le-frith around 1 mile away has 2 supermarkets, post office, chemists, restaurants etc

Other things to note
We welcome a max of 2 (small/medium) dogs or 1 large-please enquire. Crooked Nook is no smoking inside. Not suitable for young children ( sorrry no under 10s) or those with limited mobility because of stairs. Sparrowpit is a quiet and peaceful place so please no parties, loud music or unregistered guests. There are some low beams in the cottage! As the woodburner is the primary source of heating (there are also electric radiators) it means a bit of effort from guests -feeding the fire, getting logs in etc- is needed to keep the cottage toasty warm! Please do not charge your electric car via the cottage. 15% discount is offered for stays 7 nights and over.
