Crannog House is a spacious detached 4/5 bedroom house set in an acre of private and secluded gardens. There is a stream which gently flows through the land. The property is accessed by a large private drive with parking for more than 5 cars. Facilities include hot tub and children’s play area. The perfect place to enjoy with family but also spacious enough to bring another family along too! The house is located in a quiet rural area and we would ask that all guests respect this.

The space
This is a truly unique property largely down to the stunning grounds and garden and the feeling of complete seclusion and privacy you have whilst still being very close to a large city and amenities. It has 4 good sized double bedrooms upstairs. The master has an en-suite shower and a beautiful balcony looking over the extensive gardens where you can enjoy breakfast or perhaps an evening aperitif. There is also a family bathroom with bath and separate walk in shower. Downstairs is a large modern kitchen complete with wine fridge, induction hob and double ovens. A huge fridge freezer and all one would expect from a well equipped kitchen. There is a cinema room with a 65 inch smart screen and large comfortable corner sofa. This room also serves as the fifth bedroom where a bed can be set up on request for an additional fee. The living room comes with a piano for those obligatory family singalongs!

Guest access
The whole of the property and grounds are accessible to guests and guests have exclusive use during their stay. The gardener comes fortnightly on a Friday morning.

Other things to note
If you require a 5th bed to be set up in the cinema room this must be requested in advance of your stay so this can be done by the team in advance of your arrival and does attract an additional cost as the team have to set up the bed.
Please note the hot tub is regularly cleaned, emptied and re-filled with fresh water so you can rest assured. This does however this sometimes can mean that it may be quite late in the evening by the time it gets up to full temperature.
We provide a charcoal bbq for guest’s use but we would ask you to ensure that the grill is cleaned afterwards and the ash disposed of after use. Guests should bring their own charcoal and firelighters.
There are two large smart TVs at the property which have access to Netflix, Amazon Prime and other steaming services. Guests should log into their own accounts to use and ensure they log back out again when they leave.

Neighborhood highlights

The house is located on the edge of the beautiful village of Forder down a narrow country lane. Despite being so close to Saltash and Plymouth guests will feel like they have fully entered the stunning Cornish countryside but have the advantage of all the amenities of modern living. Fast WiFi being one of them another being within 10 minutes of a large Waitrose. Guests are able to walk to the water which is known as Forder Lake which leads into Anthony Passage and then onto the Plymouth sound. Guests can enjoy the convenience of being able to launch canoes and sups (paddle boarding) or other craft from the inlet at Forder being a 2 min walk from the property. There is a no party rule and no stag or hens and we would ask all guests to respect the local community and neighbours and keep noise to a minimum.
