Extra spacious

Guests love this home’s spaciousness for a comfortable stay.
Some info has been automatically translated.
Work or relax in the guest quarters of our Elmwood Village Victorian home! This freshly renovated space provides guests with restful accommodations, a private entrance, and free off-street parking. Walk to restaurants and shops in Elmwood Village or Allentown. Minutes from Kleinhans, the Buffalo-Niagara Medical Campus, downtown theatres, restaurants, and entertainment. Niagara Falls, the Buffalo-Niagara International Airport, and the Bills’ stadium are less than a 30-minute drive away.

The space
Guests enter the property through the patio located just off of the driveway in the rear of our 1890s Victorian. The owners live in the front half of the house. Aside from the shared driveway, you will enjoy private access to this townhome-style home.

Please note that there are 5 steps (including the threshold) to get into the house. There are 2 steps from the kitchen to the staircase hall which has 15 steps leading to the second floor bedrooms and main bathroom. Please see our photo gallery to view the entryway and steps.

Guests enjoy complimentary locally-roasted coffee, a selection of teas and an assortment snacks on arrival. We also provide gentle, eco-friendly hand soap from Mrs. Meyers and shampoo, conditioner, and body wash from Native. We are also pleased to offer our guests high-speed fiber optic internet to make work or streaming a breeze and two Roku-enabled tvs let you watch all of your favorite shows on demand.

Please do let us know if you have more than 4 guests during your stay, so that we can provide linens and towels for use on the fold-out queen-sized couch in the living room.

We will do everything we can to make your stay with us feel like home away from home and ensure your 5-star review!

If you have any questions about the space or the neighborhood, please don't hesitate to send us a message.

Guest access
Guests have full and private access to the guest house. Guests only share the driveway with the owners. Guests do not have access to the basement, attic, or garage bays.

Free off-street parking is available for up to two cars in designated spaces in front of the garage. The driveway is gated off with a manual gate (except during the winter) to provide more privacy and security. Additional free parking is located on the street, but we ask our guests to pay attention to the posted signs for alternate-side parking that is usually in effect from November until April.

Guests will have private use of the patio and fire pit in the back yard during the warmer months of the year (generally, spring through fall). A gas grill, umbrella, outdoor table linens, and cushions for our guests' enjoyment.

The owners reside and work from our home in the front of the property with our two dogs, so we're around if you need us. However, guests probably won't see us unless we need to get our cars for errands, take the bins out on garbage and recycling day, or if are working in the gardens.

Other things to note
Please keep in mind that this is an historic home and so the layout and stairs may be challenging for those with mobility issues. Do review our description as well as our photo gallery to view these details, or ask us if you have questions!

We love little ones, but please know that our home is not child-proofed, and we unfortunately do not provide baby gates, cribs, or high chairs to guests. Guests are certainly welcome to bring their own gear for their wee ones, though.

We are sorry that no pets are allowed on our property except for service animals. As we have our own dogs on the property, we kindly ask guests to disclose any service animal at the time of booking. Thank you.

Note that we currently book 90 days into the future. If you want to stay with us for a date beyond that time, please check back within our window.

Finally, we're excited to share that our house is one of the open gardens featured on Garden Walk Buffalo, which runs the last weekend in July! Over the years we have been working on expanding the gardens, and are excited to add new feature points to the gardens and lawn around the back of the property to offer our guests a lush oasis in the city, so be sure to look out for improvements when you return to us! And if you should stay with us during Garden Walk Buffalo, please note that garden visitors will be walking around the house during daytime tour hours to view the gardens.

Neighborhood highlights

We are located at the crossroads of three well-known neighborhoods in the city of Buffalo: Elmwood Village, Allentown, and the West Side. Our neighborhood is walkable to coffee shops, cafes, restaurants, and unique retail shopping.

Some of our favorite places nearby include Five Points Bakery, Public Espresso Coffee, Thin Ice gift shop, Allen Burger Venture, and Gabriel's Gate (who have the best wings, in our opinion).

We enjoy working on and in the gardens around our circa 1892 Victorian when we're not exploring places old and new. We love feeling at home wherever we are, which makes Airbnb a perfect place to stay when traveling.
