Escape to a cozy off-grid tiny barn on a working homestead. Cross the dock to your private hideaway tucked back in the woods, and enjoy friendly farm animals—just one mile from Knife Lake.
This solar-powered stay offers a simple, unplugged experience. Power for heat, A/C, and essentials is available when the sun is shining. During low sunlight, enjoy a cozy lantern-lit retreat with no electricity. Backup generator for emergencies (guest provides gas). Composting toilet and pump sink in bathroom.

The space
Set on five acres, the tiny barn sits across the pond from the main home and RV site, giving you your own peaceful space while still being part of homestead life. Enjoy a private yard with a deck, fire table, and grill—perfect for relaxing and taking in the quiet surroundings.
During your stay, you’ll be surrounded by friendly animals including mini cattle, mini goats, chickens, and ducks, adding to the charm of the experience. Fresh free-range eggs are often available. Because of our free-ranging animals, we do not allow outside pets.
Located just one mile from Knife Lake, you’ll have easy access to fishing, boating, and outdoor adventures. Please note the dock does not have railings and may feel slightly wobbly for some guests, and you may occasionally hear light music from a neighboring property on weekends.

Parking is on grass near the dock. You will be given directions on how to get to parking when you book.

In addition to the cabin, there is also a family home and an RV (Kings Corner) on the property, but you will have your own separate space and privacy. Due to there being free ranging farm animals at times we do not allow pets in the property.

If you're interested in local events and activities, check out our FB page "Knife Lake Getaway." Please note that you may occasionally hear music from a neighbor on weekends. Lastly, while the dock is very sturdy, it may feel a little wobbly to those who are not accustomed to crossing such a long dock without railings, so please be comfortable with this before booking.
