For over 20 years, guests have enjoyed relaxing stays at Coco Loco on the beautiful island of Vieques. We’re just 1.5 blocks from the beach, great restaurants, shops, BioBay tours, live music, and amazing sunsets on El Malecón (boardwalk) in Esperanza. The perfect home base for an island getaway with daily horse visitors!

To keep the experience relaxing and enjoyable for everyone, please note:

👥 Adults Only (18+)
Coco Loco is designed for adult travelers seeking a calm island getaway.

🛏️ Max Occupancy: 4 Guests Max
Each unit is limited to its posted occupancy. No additional visitors.

🤫 Quiet Hours: 10 PM – 6 AM
Out of respect for guests with early ferries or flights.

🏊 Pool Hours: 7 AM – 7 PM

🚭 No Pets / No Smoking

🐓 Island Wildlife
Vieques is a small Caribbean island where roosters, horses, and other wildlife are part of everyday life. Earplugs are provided for light sleepers, and we’re happy to provide more if needed.

🧳 Early Check-In (12 PM)
Available when possible for a $50 service fee. Please request in advance.

🌴 Departure Pool Pass (Until 2 PM)
If you have a later ferry or flight, you can relax after checkout with our $20 Departure Pool Pass, which includes:

• Pool access
• Secure luggage storage
• Outdoor shower & restroom
• WiFi
• Bluetooth speaker access
• Charging outlets
• Fresh towels

🧳 Luggage Before Check-In
If you arrive early and need luggage storage, we recommend Vieques Sol on El Malecón, which offers luggage holding for a small fee and opens as early as 9:30 AM.

Coco Loco sits on over an acre of lush tropical land with fruit trees including:

Guest access
The property features two front gates for convenient 24-hour access. The 2BR apartment has an entryway up the stairs to the 2nd floor from the front of the home leading directly to your front door. Entry is keyless, and a backup key is available inside the unit.

Guests may not drop off luggage outside of check-in/check-out times. We cannot hold or store bags before check-in or after check-out.

Other things to note
In 2023, I visited Coco Loco as a guest and it just so happened to be for sale! So, I sold everything in Florida, left the corporate world behind, and took a leap of faith to live a simple island life. No regrets!

Coco Loco is made up of 5 unique apartments, including the owner's unit (mine). You will have someone close by to help out if anything is needed which is great peace of mind on a small island.
