As a beach house in tropical climate, Casa Valovi is fumigated on a regular schedule to keep pests to a minimum — but the occasional gecko or insect sighting is a normal part of authentic coastal living here, as it is throughout La Punta. We do everything we can to keep your stay comfortable.
Occasional, usually short-lived power outages are common throughout La Punta due to the local grid — please rest assured that our own electrical wiring was done by licensed professionals and is not the source of any interruptions.
La Punta Zicatela is a beautiful beach and a world-class surf spot, but its waves can be strong — it’s best suited to good swimmers. Guests traveling with young children should supervise closely, or consider the calmer, family-friendly beaches about a 10-minute drive away (Carrizalillo and Puerto Angelito) for swimming with kids.
