✨ EXTRA FEES
Our house comfortably sleeps 6, but we can accommodate 3 more in the office, where we have a futon and an extra twin bed — the correct number of guests must be marked in the booking. We also have another Airbnb in the same gated community if your group is larger than 9 — feel free to ask us.
$50 for 1 extra cleaning per week
$40 Airport pickup / drop‑off — paid directly to the driver
$50 Late Checkout / Early Check‑in — depends on availability and must be agreed in writing in advance

This is the tropics — there are bugs, so bring repellent. We fumigate regularly, but you may still encounter some (hopefully dead). The nearby creek and wooded area attract wildlife.
Wild iguanas live on the property and may leave droppings in the backyard.
Gaudi the peacock occasionally honks and walks around the terrace and pool.
A neighbor sometimes hosts events, and music may be heard from the pool area.
From March to June, mangoes fall from the trees. We pick them weekly, but you will still find some on the ground. One tree is close to the kitchen, so you may hear mangoes falling on the roof.

You will have access to the whole house, the gardens and will be able to exclusively use the pool (private pool).
You can park up to 2 cars in our garage as well.
Other things to note
You can arrive to Casa Gaudi using public transportation; however, we do recommend to rent a car to move around faster.
To get to Casa Gaudi we will provide a Waze and G. maps address so it is easier for you to reach us that way.
If you do not have a Costa Rican phone and do not have a data plan that works in the country we recommend that you get a SIM card at the airport when you arrive. It's easier to move around using Waze or G. Maps since addresses tend to be complicated. If you do not want to rent a vehicle, apps like Uber or Didi are very popular and useful for moving around the central valley.
Please also note that our peacock Gaudi and our hen live in the property. So someone (could be our maintenance person or Jorge) comes early in the morning and in the afternoon to tend to them - this person will enter the backyard through the side and will not need to enter the home.
Also, the maintenance person will tend to the pool early in the morning once or twice a week.
