An architectural 1950's desert escape with exposed brick, large private backyard roundabout, new kitchen and bathroom, central air and heat as well as a cozy wood burning stove. Feels like a million miles away but only 10 minutes drive to town where you'll find anything you need.

The space
The space is small and simple. The main living space contains a sectional sofa, wood burning stove and a piano. The TV is a smart TV for streaming services there is a Blu-ray player and DVDs, of which sooo many are provided. (We like movies!) There is also a little high-top table for morning coffee or keeping the cook company. NOTE: the turntable is currently out for repair.
The kitchen is a small galley kitchen but provides everything you need for cooking meals. New fridge, basic microwave and new oven, electric cooktop and compact dishwasher, all electric.
Coffee station with standard drip coffeemaker, and optional french press as well. We provide Joshua Tree coffee and sugar but bring your own creamer.
The large bedroom has a queen bed and it's own private sitting room. A great place to separate from the rest of the house or set the kids up with their own movie. NOTE: the fireplace currently pictured is not yet operational.
The small bedroom has a closet and the house's one bathroom in it. You must go through this bedroom for the only bathroom in the house, so I hope everyone is friends! I have installed a floor to ceiling curtain to provide some privacy to the bed if others want to pass through that room at night.
Outside is a deck with a dining table, chairs and a shade cover. There is also a hammock and a fire pit. In the lot next door, we have set up a little mini golf course -- it's also a work in progress and a little tricky to even find, so if you are interested watch my course tour in the highlights on our IG @casaelata. Clubs and score cards are provided.
Hot tub is here!!!!!!!! All set up and ready for 6 people to chill and star gaze!
Please note: we loooooove hosting pets, we just ask for an extra cleaning fee which is passed directly onto our amazing cleaners.
Guest access
The whole house and property are available to you with the exception of storage rooms accessible only from the outside of the house. It's pretty boring, you're not missing out on anything. There is a camper on the property that is not available to guests. (It's my little hideaway.)
Other things to note
Dog (or cat!) Fee: $25/dog + $5/dog per day (over 3 days).
Example: 2 dogs for 5 nights: $50 + $20 = $70.
This goes directly to our amazing cleaners for all their wonderful work.
Due at check-in, as Airbnb doesn't have a in-app method for pet fees.
Long term guests (over 3 weeks) will be charged a double cleaning fee for a deep clean ($300). Thank you for understanding!
The backyard is fenced in but always keep an eye on your pups regardless, this is high coyote territory.
Hot tub maintenance: The hot tub is serviced on Monday and Thursdays, so you may see the hot tub guy in the back yard, he's super nice, say hi if you like.
Fires: Please bring firewood if you want to use the wood fire stove. Bundles can be purchased up the road at Hero Market or at several locations in town. We provide wood during the winter. The outdoor wood fire pit is off limits due to San Bernardino County restrictions, but there is a propane fire pit for moodiness.
Dirt Road: There is a short distance you must take on our dirt road, so be cautious in stormy weather.
