Under a grove of palms, this chill beach house is a little rustic—sun-worn, slightly rough around the edges, but comfy and full of charm. Cool off in the small infinity pool just steps from the bedrooms, and enjoy partial ocean views through the palms and dunes while the waves do the talking. Bedrooms are large, each with A/C and a private bath. No traffic, no fast food, no paved roads—just a mellow weekend base.

A paradise for surfers
Playa El Tránsito is one of the best places to surf in Nicaragua. This beach is quickly becoming a favorite spot for surfers looking for a quieter alternative to the beaches closer to León. El Tránsito offers good and constant waves for surfing; on the beach there are some surf schools and places that offer private lessons, it is also possible to rent a surfboard from US$10 per day.

Natural pools
Playa El Tránsito is a beautiful gray sand beach, surrounded by rocks of volcanic origin that make up its great natural beauty. Here you can enjoy beautiful natural pools on the coast, which form next to the rocks when the tide is low. These crystal-clear pools are ideal for relaxing and unwinding, since they are usually empty.

Climb the hill
Playa El Tránsito sits on the side of a hill around a nearly perfect crescent bay. From the hill you get beautiful views of the beach and you can see great sunsets.
