You’ll relax at our home perched on the backside of Costa Azul with beautiful sunset & mountain views. Nestled on the side of the hill, you enter on the second story, surrounded by an outdoor patio and dining area. It's a short 10 min walk to the surf breaks, Zippers, The Rock (La Roca) and Old Man's and is close to ziplining, numerous farm to table restaurants and the historic Art District in San Jose. The home comes with 2 foam surfboards, boogie boards, beach towels, umbrellas and chairs.

The space
Our home is a blend of rustic Mexican decor and modern convenience. We love the outside living spaces and my kitchen. When we stay in our home, our daily ritual starts with enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning, relaxing under the neem tree. I love sitting out there, it is one of my favorites. We also have a kumquat and a guanabana tree in the front yard… help yourself to the fruit if it is ripe.

Guest access
The garage is kept locked, but the main house is fully accessible to you from the main gate at street level.

Other things to note
There is a studio apartment below the garage that is rented. The tenant does not have access to the house, and he has his own entrance to the property.

The trash cans are located down towards his entrance past the garage. When you need to empty the trash, put it in those bins.

Neighborhood highlights

Some of the first homes in Costa Azul or Gringo Hill, as many of the locals affectionately call the neighborhood, were built by surfers from California back in the 70's. With newer more modern developments (Querencia to the West and La Jolla to the East) on either side, Costa Azul maintains a more authentic Baja ambiance. The roads are still dirt and there are often cows wandering the street (or eating our landscaping if the gates get left open).
