Casa 72 was groundbreaking in the 1970s.
It's still innovative in the 21st century.
Since we renovated it in 2013, we have been welcoming guests with 5-star service.
Casa 72 is ideal for medium stays (one to two weeks), but also accepts guests for two nights.
Always ready to serve a couple, or a group of twelve people, adults only or with children.

400m2 of spacious areas, high skies, cross winds, natural light.
Designed as a place for dynamic family gatherings, they make you feel at ease without knowing why, in any of its many environments.
The house is considered a significant work in 20th century Nicaraguan architecture.
Built mainly of wood. With seven levels, interlaced by half-floor stairs.
Its design, decoration, materials, and furniture immediately welcome you to your beach house.
➜Cooking
It is well equipped for our guests to cook.
Four burner gas stove, with oven.
Gas is included in the rental price for a week or less.
In the wooden furniture you will find knives and kitchen utensils, towels, cutlery, glasses, cups, pans, kettle for boiling water, etc.
The kitchen also has a microwave oven, 2x2 toaster, blender, coffee maker, plastic containers for storing food, and more.
The kitchen has easy access to the main dining room, and the outdoor dining room.

Available for guest use.
Every booking comes with a cleaning.
For stays of a week or less, gas is included.
➜Rooms
The rooms are simple and practical, in keeping with the spirit of the house. All have A/C and a fan.
#1: The most accessible room. Opposite bathroom #1. Two beds, locker, closet, mini-split, ceiling fan. Space for an extra bed.
#2: The largest room. Queen bed, single bed. Closet, mini-split, ceiling fan. Space for an additional bed. Wall phone charger. Space for an additional bed.
#3: The most private room. Opposite bathroom 2. Two beds, locker, closet, mini-split, ceiling fan. Space for an additional bed.
#4: The most panoramic room: Private balcony. Near bathroom 3. Two beds, locker, closet, mini-split, ceiling fan. Space for an extra bed.
➜Bathrooms
Enjoy a hot shower, an outdoor shower, or a bath in the tub!
The house has three full bathrooms that are shared among all the rooms.
Additionally, it has a half bathroom on the first level, near the outdoor dining area.
The showers have hot water, towels, a mat, and soap.
The house also has an outdoor shower, at the entrance, near the wooden path.
Bathroom #3, located on level 6 of the house, maintains the original bathroom design, made of fiberglass, and with shower and bathtub.
➜Water
Drinking water in SJdS is drinkable. For our guests' convenience, we include a 5-gallon bottled water container for each reservation. If you need more, you can order it by calling the phone number in our QR guide
The service is quite inconsistent. For the convenience of our guests we have an underground cistern and two surface water tanks. Enough for two days of house operation.
There should be no problem. If the water fails for more than that time, guests will need to make arrangements in coordination with our house manager.
In any case, we ask our guests to make rational use of this increasingly scarce resource in the world.
➜A pool
It's a great attraction for kids and adults.
It's a social pool. It is XX meters at its deepest point and YY at its shallowest point.
It has a door that prevents access by stairs. If you have minor children, be sure to keep it closed.
➜Wi-Fi
We recently upgraded the house's internet to attract people who work outside their office.
We now have fiber optic service, with 300/20 mbps contracted.
Wi-Fi service covers virtually the entire property with its main modem and repeater. Additionally, we have an Ethernet socket and cable in the work area.
➜Office.
We have an isolated office space. Located on level #6, above, with its door for private access.
It has a table, chair, fan, power regulator/charger, Ethernet cable, and best of all, a personal hammock, from which you can work comfortably with your laptop.
One or two people can work, and make conference calls with plenty of privacy.
We can set up the office space as an additional room, with only a fan and a single bed, if guests request it.
Dining ➜tables
The main dining table has chairs for ten people.
We have a high chair for children.
We have an auxiliary table that serves to put food trays, in case there is a large group using the dining table.
The pool is flanked by a wooden bar that can be used as a table. It has four wooden benches.
Under the guanacaste tree we have an outdoor dining room, to complement the gas grill.

We try to make our guests feel safe and secure at Casa 72.
We have a smoke detector, and we are about to install a carbon monoxide detector.
We have fire extinguishers near the kitchen and near the bedrooms.
We use GFCI outlets in bathrooms and the kitchen.
We have a dining chair for young children, with safety straps.

Guest access
Our house manager, Luis, greets guests and hands them the house.
He gives them a password to access the street door and the inner door.
The password is changed with each guest. For your convenience, it's customized based on the phone number of the reservation.
Luis is attentive to the arrival of our guests.
He or his wife are on the property all the time.
You can ring the doorbell when you arrive, or you can call beforehand.
The phone numbers appear in the automated message we'll send on the day of your check-in.
