Unwind in this chic and one-of-a-kind discovery in the Baja Corridor! In 2022 we renovated our ocean-view condo, adding contemporary upgrades like sleek wall finishes and bathrooms adorned with tiles. The brick ceiling is sure to capture your attention!

Our property boasts an exceptional layout that provides sunset gazing from every room. You can relish in surfing, nearby beaches and savor the wine region in one trip. As design geeks, we hope you love the unique details we've added!

The space
Casa Malaga is suitable for 4 guests total, please do not bring more than 4 people as the front gate will notify us. The bedrooms are on opposite ends and the walls are made with thick concrete. You can enjoy quiet and privacy from each bedroom. The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with tub, shower curtain and brand new tile work throughout. The Portuguese inspired guest bathroom right next to guest bedroom on the other end has a standing walk-in glass shower. Enjoy the record player, guitar and bluetooth soundbar with the ocean breeze in the living room. Generous size dining table for the whole gang to eat together. We are foodies and we use the place too! The kitchen has all the bells and whistles, with high quality items throughout, a real step above most rentals.

This is the perfect place for creatives to disconnect and dive into their projects with longer stays. Exceptional location with plenty of peace, quiet and spectacular views to clear your mind. Be inspired with less distractions and enjoy the 'california back in the day' simplicity of the area.

Other things to note
The wifi at Casa Malaga is suitable for remote workers and is the best the area offers. It is steady for emails and being online, but if you need a very predictable signal for video meetings, professional calls and fast UL/DL speeds, it is best to bring your own vetted devices. ie Starlink or wifi device you know works well in the region. When it rains in Baja, the power and wifi may go out. We are digital nomads and always work here with ease, but we want you to be prepared and understand Baja is unpredictable. The wifi is the strongest in the living room so plan accordingly for privacy and needs of your group.

We are a 30 minute drive from Valle de Guadalupe, the famed food and wine region of Baja. Check out our guidebook for tons of excellent reqs. There are no child safety elements throughout the house. Please consider this when booking.

As the house is less insulated than homes in the US, please bring cozy socks, sweaters, slippers and items to layer- especially in the fall/winter/spring months. There are 4 heaters and lots of blankets at the house.

Most kitchens in Mexico operate off propane gas (not natural gas). Please know a smell is added to propane to detect leaks and you will smell it when booting up our oven/stove. This is normal and there is nothing to worry about. Our condo is 40 years old and plumbing in Baja is very sensitive. The showers take 5 minutes to heat up and the master shower gets hotter than the guest one. These are a few quirks and we appreciate your understanding. :) Please reach out for more info so we can make your stay excellent!

We are located 22 miles south of Rosarito and 32 miles north of Ensenada in the lovely coastal community of Plaza del Mar- Club Section. Our gated community with 24 hour security guards can leave you with peace of mind during your stay. Just 45 minutes south of the San Diego/Tijuana border, yet it feels nothing like San Diego or Tijuana!

The famous La Fonda surf break, restaurants, local beach and the road to get to the Valle de Guadalupe (wine region) are a short 5 minute drive away. Enjoy ocean-view walks around our complex and neighboring communities.

We do not have direct beach access, unless you are a ninja. We are not near city centers and bright lights, you can truly sink into the beach lifestyle and disconnect when you are here.

Great surf breaks in the hood are La Fonda, Alisitos K58, Raul’s, K38 and Las Gaviotas
