Where are we?

Our cozy apartment has an independent entrance and lies within a secure and well-kept condominium "Tropicana Residence" located on a hillside and overlooking the centre of the town of Letojanni. It has a unique mediterranean vibe thanks to the lush Sicilian vegetation including lemon and banana trees, large succulents and hibiscus. Due to its picturesque localisation on the hillside it offers a secluded and relaxed ambient - and yet the beaches, the sea promenade and the town centre are only a short walk away!

What does Cannolo pigro has to offer?

The most amazing thing about Cannolo pigro is its beautiful panoramic terrace overlooking the Ionian Sea, the bay of Taormina and Mazzaro. You can lay back in the hammock, sway in a boho-swing with a glass of wine... or enjoy some excellent Sicilian food with this breathtaking view of the sea.

We have created an apartment with a bohemian flair and finished off with traditional Sicilian details to make it feel like a real mediterranean retreat. Cannolo pigro can host up to 4 guests as it comprises a bedroom with a marital bed and a comfortable sleeping coach in the living room, or "soggiorno".

The apartment is fully furnished and underwent a renovation in September 2022. Thanks to a stable wifi connection and fully equipped kitchen and bathroom (including a washing machine) it is a perfect choice for those of you looking for a summer experience, as well as those, who might be interested in a longer stay and working from home.

There two air-conditioners to help you deal with the Sicilian heat waves!
And if you get enough of looking at the sea - there is a Smart TV in the apartment to accommodate your entertainment needs!

One of the great things about our apartment is that it has a completely independent entrance - once your have entered the condominium you will walk through a corridor of green mediterrean vegetation until, in the last building (or "Palazzino") on the right, you will enter onto our property and find yourself directly on the Seaview terrace. There are no stairs to climb and no passing through a communal part of the building.

Please remember that our flat is located on a small hill - this guarantees fantastic views and a cosy atmosphere. The price for this is a relatively strenuous (especially in summer if you are not used to it) walk down / up - so we recommend all our guests to come with a hired car to fully enjoy the location.

Letojanni is a perfect base to explore the eastern Sicilian coast with all its wonders of history, culture and nature.
This lovely fisherman´s town is well-known for one the widest and most enjoyable beaches on this side of the island. The coastline here is famous for its unique volcanic - and thus greyish-black sand-gravel and stony shores - all of this due to the vicinity of the one and only Madame Etna!

We love Letojanni for its lively seaside promenade full of cafes and restaurants with exquisite Sicilian cuisine. But the most precious thing about Letojanni for us is it has managed to keep the authentic Sicilian flair and relaxed atmosphere, so different from (whilst stunningly beautiful) the sometimes overcrowded and loud Taormina. Sure, you will find here typical tourist attractions like boat trips, paragliding or organised trips - but you will still be able to capture the gist of the Sicilian dolce vita by watching the locals playing cards till after midnights, chatting with their friends in the streets or enjoying a late night granita.

The picturesque Taormina with Isola Bella and all what it has to offer culturally is only 7km away.
Other treasured destinations that can be reached from Letojanni include Castelmola, the "Godfather" towns of Savoca and Forza d’Agro, the Allcantara gorge, Catania, The Ciclops coast, Messina, Eolian Isles, Etna, Siracusa, nearby wineries... and many, many more!
