It is not a stately villa or a hotel, most of the interior work is done by us, with respect for the old.

The space
Originally built in the 18th century for a Vercelli textile merchant who later moved to Ticino. A stately home on three floors used as a guest house.

Over 270 years of history to relive, Historic Guesthouse Tegna, vacations in historic buildings Ticino.

The garden is the result of a particular style of gardening, based on the use of native flora, the reconstitution of natural vegetation, and respect, as far as possible, for all components of the ecosystem.

Guest access
Access only on foot as it is located in the historic center of the village, 5 minutes from the Tegna train station or 10 minutes from the bus stop in Ponte Brolla and the parking lot for the car near the Church.

During your stay
I live near the property and will be available if needed

Other things to note
We are not a Bed & Breakfast and we do not offer breakfast service, but there is a kitchen area where you can have coffee/tea.
A 15-minute walk away we have an excellent bakery (Peri Verscio), and a Coop grocery store. For more details, ask us about your needs to see if we have availability.

We respect nature by using biodegradable detergents and soaps, offering FairTrade coffee and fruit from the garden. Depending on the season, we have organic honey or homemade jams made with our fruit. We invest our resources in a more respectful and sustainable future.

For those traveling with infants or children, you can ask us to provide a high chair, cot, and other items for the little ones so that we can prepare them before your arrival.

What makes my home unique: The garden with its fruits
I am a quiet person, I really like to cook and go into nature. In my free time, I dedicate myself to the vegetable garden to produce fruit, berries, and vegetables for the house and our guests. My travel philosophy is not much better but well, I love the magnificent landscapes of our Alps, Provence, Brittany, villages and medieval towns. I've been working on my own for almost 20 years as a landscape craftsman and everything I've learned to do over the years. Together with my family, I renovated an old eighteenth-century house "Casa Gelso 1750", to create a small Guest house with rooms and holiday apartments in historic buildings, houses surrounded by a beautiful natural Mediterranean garden. We live and work here in this corner of land, so we can then share the fruits of our work with guests and friends and enjoy together the natural foods, jams, herbal teas and fruits, or simply the nature of this place.
