Neighborhood highlights
The Caboose is located at the Castanea Railroad Station, in Castanea, Pennsylvania. The site of the Caboose is historic in many ways as the Caboose has been situated on tracks with a box car leading. The original train tracks were on the other side of the Railroad Station, but for practical purposes, the parking lot and future Rail to Trails head will be. There is a lovely kiosk that resembles a restored 1930s water tank with historical information of the site. Today, the train station is surrounded in a quiet residential neighborhood. The Caboose is a short drive to more sightseeing, places to eat, and exciting things to do!
