Enjoy this fun and uniquely Alaskan property. Private modern, yet rustic A-Frame Cabin perfectly situated between the Kenai and Kasilof rivers. 3 acres on ponds with abundant wildlife viewing opportunities. Enjoy 3 spacious bedrooms plus a sleeping loft, 2 full bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and real Alaskan living from the log beds to the live edge finishes throughout. Easy high way access for early morning charters and close to dining and shopping, but privacy away from the crowds.
The space
3 bedrooms and a sleeping loft (listed as bedroom 4, but without privacy), 2 full bathrooms, fully furnished, newly remodeled A-frame cabin, perfectly situated between the Kenai and Kasilof Rivers for easy fishing access. While the Kenai is world famous, the Kasilof has just as much to offer without the crowd. Try both! The cabin is just 10 minutes to the hospital for travelling healthcare professionals. As the cabin is situated in a wooded, pond front area, wildlife is often seen nearby, including moose, carribou, eagles and sandhill cranes.
Comfortably sleeps 12 in beds, not on air mattresses or couches. Rustic finishes accent modern amenities for the true, Alaskan experience in comfort. Each bedroom has a faux fireplace heater, thoughtful bedding, and light blocking curtains. The newly finished kitchen boasts stainless steel appliances, cookware, dishes, utensils, spices, coffee maker, crockpot and more. The dining table allows for seating for 10, but additional chairs are provided. The living area contains comfortable seating and a smart TV.
There is a full size freezer available to store fish after having it processed. Privacy with easy highway access and a convenience store at the entry to the driveway. Internet was recently upgraded to Starlink service.
Help yourself to our everbearing raspberries on the left side yard. They are delicious and usually ready to eat by mid-June or early July and often produce until September.
Note that due to steep stairs, this home may not be suitable for children under 2 or anyone with a mobility issues. Also PLEASE NOTE: ceiling height in kitchen is approximately 6'5, which may be too short for some individuals. My 6'1 husband is not bothered by it.
Please reserve for the accurate number of guests. The price changes as more guests are added in order to make the cabin affordable to small groups. The guest count changes the amount of linens used, wear and tear, and cleaning necessary, so guests beyond 2 incur a fee of $25 per guest per night. Thank you for understanding.

Neighborhood highlights
Soldotna is a fishing town on the Kenai Peninsula (called Alaska's Playground) about 2.5 hours south of Anchorage. Just a 20 minute flight can get you from Anchorage to Kenai (20 minutes away and sister city to Soldotna). Both Soldotna and Kenai are along the Kenai River and offer world class fishing with 3 varieties of salmon as well as rainbow trout. Halibut, rock fish, and other fishing may be easily accessed in Homer (1 hour 15 minutes away), Seward (2 hours away) and Ninilchik (40 minutes). The drive is always worth it to take in the gorgeous views.
The Kasilof River is a lesser known hot spot for fishing with far less of a crowd, but just as good fishing. With our location, it's easy to try out both!
The cabin itself is situated off the highway about 5 minutes from the main area of town. Some light road noise is to be expected based on the location. Private cabin in a wooded setting on ponds allows for a secluded, yet accessible stay.
