Discover our studio earth home in San Luis, nestled 35 mins from Uvita and 45 mins from San Isidro with stunning waterfall views. Our studio has a queen bed full bath and kitchenette. The property hosts a bamboo yoga shala, heated pool, hot tub, infrared sauna, and a vibrant permaculture farm offering farm-fresh eggs and greenhouse delights as well as a private river swimming hole. 4x4 is required to get to the property and all of the nearby attractions such as beaches, waterfalls and markets.

Perched just above a cascading waterfall and surrounded by medicinal gardens and tropical forest, Casa Mariposa offers a deeply private, nourishing space for rest, reconnection, and renewal. With natural finishes, warm sunlight, and peaceful views of the surrounding land, it’s a space where you feel the embrace of nature from the moment you arrive.

More than just a place to sleep, Casa Mariposa is an invitation to slow down and realign. Whether you’re joining a retreat or seeking your own private healing journey, the studio cabin places you at the heart of a living, breathing ecosystem—complete with a yoga shala, forest trails, healing waters, and spaces for ceremony and community. Located just 30 minutes from the beach town of Uvita and 10 minutes from local markets and cafes, Casa Mariposa offers the rare balance of seclusion and accessibility. Here, your days are filled with birdsong, warm breezes, and the gentle rhythm of the land. Come reconnect with yourself, with the earth, and with the magic of the present moment—this is a place where transformation feels natural.

Please note we are remote on a mountain dirt road so a 4x4 vehicle as well as sense of adventure is required!

The property is nestled 900 meters or 3000 ft above sea level form Uvita, making it comfortably cool all year round. Rainy season is particularly wet up here and the roads require 4x4. We are remote and there is a 20 minute dirt road you should be prepared to drive on, we are not responsible for your transportation.

Uvita and main attractions are easily accessible or retreat from all of that and utilize the Yoga space and spa.

PLEASE READ: We are very rural - 35 minutes away from grocery store and restaurants. Please be comfortable driving a 4x4 car on dirt roads, and plan to arrive in the daylight. Please pick up anything you will need in advance of check in. If you check in after 9pm we cannot be responsible for support.
