The space
About Our Home:

Breezy Days is a very private 2/3 acre, bucolic property abutting the Correllus State Forest with miles of mountain biking and hiking trails out the back door. The landscape has a lush, beautiful lawn large enough for badminton an other games to go on simultaneously. A small fishpond, near the large apple and oak trees, has koi, goldfish and an occasional frog or three you can stingily feed. You will enjoy the Island breezes and beauty as you relax with your family on the bronze-screened in porch that seats 19 (dining & lounging). The home has a subtle nautical/Island decor with tasteful, ageless furnishings throughout. The first floor has an open concept with a 48” high end smart TV, Bose Bluetooth speaker, well equipped, modern kitchen with Amish cherry cabinets and dining table for 10. The living area has leather seating for 8-9. The bedroom has a king bed with an attached bath with walk in double shower and laundry. Three bedrooms exist on the 2nd floor—one very large with a sitting area, queen and twin sleigh beds with a twin trundle. The second and third bedrooms have a double bed and two twins(one XL), respectively. A full bath with tub and shower serve the second floor rooms. Below the first floor is a finished basement with sectional leather seating for 6-8 with another high end 44” smart TV and blue ray player with 100’s of family friendly DVDs. The basement also has a well equipped butterfly ping pong table and bookshelves loaded with an eclectic assortment for all ages. Other bookshelves and family board games are available on other floors as well. Bed linens and 2 towels(1 bath/1 beach) for each person are supplied during your stay as are soaps, shampoos, and conditioners.
After a long day of activity, couples can go outside to the beautiful Scandinavian inspired infra-red sauna(4+ person-panels & lights), relax and detox after which a few steps away is a stunning cedar and stone floored double outdoor covered shower and dressing space.
If cooking is your thing, a few steps outside from the screened in porch and kitchen is a beautiful granite patio (seats 10) which has a stone, wood fired cooking fire pit and separate stone pizza oven—well seasoned oak, apple, cherry and black locust wood available for fuel. For simple outdoor cooking, a gas grill is present as well.

About Us:

After Karl and I moved from teaching positions in Colorado to teaching on Martha’s Vineyard in 1992, we built Breezy Days in 1993 and over the years have remodeled and developed the grounds to those you see today. Many of the items and pieces of furniture in the home have a family story and Swedish history from our two families. We raised two children under the roof, whom have since moved on with their own lives, one out west and the other on the east coast. We endeavored to take full advantage of all the Island had to offer while we lived here year round. We all found the beauty of the Island’s woodlands and ocean equally stunning with much to offer. Only this year we’ve agreed to share our home with others while we stay in our second residence in Montana during the summer months. Close family friends manage the property while we’re away and can help with any unforeseen issues that may arise during your stay. We welcome you to enjoy our treasured home as much as we have.

Guest access
Guests may access all parts of the property except the locked utility/mechanical room in basement and the auto/storage barn(locked) adjacent to home.

Other things to note
There is one security cameras on the property mounted on the exterior above the front door.
