Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
Part of a Victorian Hunting Lodge which has hosted generations of holidaymakers. Located in a hidden gem of a Glen, surrounded by hills & trees & perched above a river, Bragleenbeg is a secluded haven. Re-modelled by architect owner Pete it is spacious yet cosy with a light-filled living space with log burner & 3 en-suite bedrooms (2 King-size doubles, 1 twin + bunks) and additional shower room. Just 25 mins drive from Oban - Scotland's favourite West Coast fishing & ferry-to-the-isles port.

The space
3 bedroom self-contained renovated wing of a Victorian Scottish Hunting Lodge. The owners live in the adjoined main house, but you have plenty of privacy with your own front door. There is a section of garden entirely for your use right in front and a BBQ and outside tables & chairs for your use. Plus the wider garden has a trampoline, football net and basketball hoop that can be used by visitors.

Please note that due to new Scottish Government licensing regulations, infants now count towards the total in terms of allowed persons. Our maximum permitted number of guests is now therefore 8 which now has to INCLUDE all infants, even if they are not taking up a bed space.

Our STL Licence number is: AR00930F
Our EPC Rating is E.

Guest access
The apartment is extremely spacious being 1,926sqft (179m2).

There is an open-plan living / dining / kitchen area downstairs with a fourth bathroom and boot cupboard in the hallway. All bedrooms upstairs have their own en-suite bathrooms - 2 with baths and showers and one with shower only.

The garden is large and mainly enclosed (although we have free-ranging chickens) and there is a football goal and trampoline that can be used if the weather / midges permit.

There is a washing machine for your sole use with outside line or inside pulley / drying rack..

Private parking space right outside the door on the terrace and lots of parking next to the main house and on the drive-way.

Other things to note
We have a field at the head of Loch Scammadale, a mere 10 minutes walk away, which all guests have access to and can use to let dogs off the lead, go fishing from the shore, build and cook on fires, launch kayaks / paddle-boards. Please note our insurance does not allow us to lend / hire boats or boating equipment so you need to bring your own.

We have full fishing rights for visitors in the adjacent river and on the loch shore in our field for trout and salmon (salmon must be returned). A number of our visitors have been lucky enough to catch trout, although the salmon are elusive.

The Glen is a perfect almost traffic-free place for cycling if you want to bring bikes.

Please note there is NO mobile signal of any description in the house - but there is high-speed fibre broadband so connections are good enough for calls over wi-fi and there is a landline phone for your own use.

One wee woodshed of wood is provided for your use of the log-burner per visit which is plenty for your stay.
