Located in a quintessential beach town, this super "suite" beach retreat is just 3 short blocks to the beach and is an easy walk to great dining, nightlife, ice cream, bike rentals, shopping, & activities.
In a couple steps from the private driveway, you'll enter the ample-sized screened-in porch. Catch your breath and take a moment to hear nature before walking into your home-away-from home.

The space
A fresh and bright renovated studio apartment has a king size bed, sofa bed, Roku TV and kitchen with full-size stainless appliances: range, refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave with quartz countertops.
We want everything to feel effortless during your stay. With dreamy blue ceramic dishes and Blue Diamond Nonstick Diamond Infused PFAS & PTFE-Free Ceramic cookware, you can walk to a couple blocks and shop at the IGA supermarket to prepare meals at home.
The home has a spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower and oversized shower-head. We provide high-quality shampoo, conditioner and body wash.
Enjoy your private screened-in front porch for dining or lounging for early morning coffee or after the beach.
We designed a common entertainment patio that has room for privacy as well as socializing: a covered cabana with bar seating, a prep counter, mini fridge, and 44" smart TV, large gas grill with side burner; 4-person dining area under the pergola; 4 comfy lounge chairs; and space to roll out a yoga mat or two. During the day, enjoy a spot in the sun or shade. In the evening, take in the moment-to-moment change in sky color and enjoy the ambiance and warmth of market lights.
The full home is a duplex but each side has completely separate, private entrances and parking. Our other listing on Airbnb "Breezy Banana", is the 2BR, 1BA side of the duplex. Renting both Breezy Banana and Blue Banana would be perfect for a family or friends because they are completely separate living quarters but do share the private enclosed back yard.
Tybee Island is 3 miles of flat roads perfect for walking or biking thru charming beach town streets - no vehicle needed...just park and go!
Perfectly situated 3 blocks from the main beach pier loaded with shops, restaurants & bars and 3 blocks from the back river ~ perfect for watching sunsets and moonlight strolls. Enjoy the best of both worlds of being close-by to all the fun and restaurants while having a peaceful retreat to come home to!

You have full access to the backyard while you're visiting, as do the guests on the other side of the home. The backyard is the only "shared" common space.
Again, the driveways/houses/front porches are private and completely separate and face different directions!
🐶 We love your fur-babies! As a neighborly courtesy, we ask that doggos not be left outside unattended and that they are leashed when in the courtyard when other dogs or guests are present. A quick note that while Tybee is "sidewalk and street" dog friendly (along with some restaurants), doggos are not permitted on the beach.
🧺 The shared courtyard with Breezy Banana has 4 lounge chairs, a covered bar area with 3 bar-height chairs, a table with 4 chairs, and a full size gas grill.
The market lights at the bar area are on a 'dusk to dawn timer' while the market lights for the pergola are controlled by the top switch located on a post at the bar countertop.
Other things to note
-We have this home regularly cleaned by a toxic-free cleaning business that is small and local to the island!
- There is a step from the bedroom/living area into the kitchen area where the bathroom, laundry, and exit to the backyard is located. A handrail is affixed to the wall.
-We love pets and they are more than welcome to join you!
-Tybee is sidewalk and street dog-friendly. Dogs are not permitted on the beach to protect our sea turtle habitats
-Fortunately we have had wonderful guests return year after year so we have a successful AirBnb history. Over the years we have expanded and are happy to share these other Banana Properties in addition to the Blue Banana: Breezy Banana (2BR, 1BA on the other side of the duplex from Blue Banana)

Neighborhood highlights
Our home is the bright teal one story house on a corner lot with easy access in any direction. The unit's entrance is facing Jones Ave.
Tybee is small island - just 3 miles long of quirky, tropical beach living. The roads are all very flat and are perfect for walking, running, and biking. The neighborhood is very quiet and friendly but you are only a few short blocks from the pier and restaurants, bars, shops, ice cream, groceries, etc.
Tybee is an "open container" town so you if you sit on the front porch in the evening you will often see locals walking down the road with a glass of wine or beer on their way to watch the sunset.
