Restore your soul and create memorable moments at this peaceful spot on Conesus Lake!
Barefoot Haven is a place where you can kick off your shoes, rest, and relax. The beautiful kitchen is fully-stocked so that you'll feel like you're at home.
Barefoot Haven has 4 bedrooms--with two king beds, a queen bed, two twin beds, a twin pull out, and a day bed that pulls out into a king. There's an office with a desk where you can quickly get your work done so that you can head out to the lake!
The space
A rare gem on Conesus Lake! This 2,500 square foot property sits between two natural ravines with a creek flowing between them. We are surrounded by tall pines and various trees. This is a house that backs up to a forest, so keep in mind that you'll be in a nature environment with occasional glimpses of wildlife.
A 25-foot patio out the front door--perfect for outdoor dinners and watching the sunset with a little bit of a lake view. There's a screened-in gazebo where you can kick back in a hammock or some comfy chairs and glimpse the sunset from here.
A sunroom in the back is a great place to sit and watch the birds. Curl up with a book and your favorite drink. There's a fire pit out back for those summer nights when you want to gaze at the stars and make s'mores.
The kitchen is fully-stocked (dishes for 12, glass and acrylic drink ware, stemless wine glasses, toaster, coffee maker, LOR Barista (we provide a few pods to start) electric kettle (we have a variety of teas), Pyrex dishes, glass storage containers, mason jars, utensils) so that you can whip up meals and your favorite foods.
Down the road and to the lake--you'll hop down 20 steps to find the dock and a small deck with a table, chairs, and umbrella. You can swim here--there are steps into the lake at the end of the dock and there are life jackets in the deck box. We have two kayaks and 2 paddleboards (one hard shell, one inflatable), too. Just be sure to leave no trace--bring your garbage back up to the house when you leave. It is here that you'll get a full western view of the sunset.
If you prefer, you can rent a golf cart (this is a separate contract) to make your trips up and down the road (it is on a hill) even easier!
Air conditioning is via mini-split on the first floor and window units on the second floor.
On chilly days, you can turn on the heated floors in the bathrooms and kitchen.
Guest access
Guests have full access to the house with the exception of two kitchen cabinets that are locked and certain closets.
You can use the basement to do laundry.
There are two ravines on the property--DO NOT go past the signs that mark off the area. If you have young children, they must be supervised at all times when outside. The beauty of this property is what gives it a "back to nature" feel--you'll occasionally see deer wandering through. This is a piece of property that dates back to the glacier age and the ravines are steep.
Other things to note
We are very close to Mark's Marine and there are pontoon boats available to rent through them.
You can also rent a water trampoline and extra kayaks/paddleboards through our partnership with a local company that delivers to the dock.
You are welcomed to bring a boat--please let us know so that we can assure we have the space at the dock. The boat launch is one mile north of us.
