This is a provincial location so you can expect some tokos or gekos all over the island and around our location too. But they're totally harmless so don't panic. It's something you should expect when visiting the more rural areas of the Philippines.
Island life includes some brown outs from time to time. They don't usually last longer than an hour and we provide you with emergency lights and a battery backup to power the wifi if you can cope without connection
Guest access
The access to the property is a little provincial bumpy track and also requires a walk across a small field. This however is the price you must pay to have a hidden little getaway paradise hidden in the hills.
NOT for the overly pampered guest..
Other things to note
If you're staying here we recommend you pack on the light side. Our crew will be around to assist you but its a little walk to the cabin so please don't bring a huge case.
During rainy season the entrance can get a little muddy to best to wear adequate footwear if the weather isn't on our side.
Mosquitoes, ants and gnat gnats are not a major issue here but it's worthwhile mentioning that during rainy days they increase. The presence of native insects is also part of the natural, jungle environment. They’re generally harmless and not a major issue, but if you have sensitivities or allergies to these, we recommend keeping this in mind when booking. Anyone has allergies or big reactions to bites should be aware of this before booking. After all, its legitimate Jungle setting.
As mentioned before, please come prepared for a short hike. Its really not so bad but if you bring heavy luggage it will be substantially more challenging.

The cabin is nestled close to an authentic, lively local community. Our neighbors occasionally enjoy daytime karaoke and celebrations between the legally permitted hours of 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM.
If you are relaxing at the hut during the day and are sensitive to background sound, we highly recommend popping on your favorite headphones. Alternatively, these vibrant daytime hours are the absolute best time to cool off in the river just 150m away, walk over to Cambugahay Falls, or explore the island!
The property is a standalone structure and although there is a family that lives nearby it still remains secluded. Best to be aware that it will be totally private before booking.
