Hosted by The Stay Collection — Escape to Cosy Bake Cottage, a beautifully restored Grade II listed 18th-century fisherman’s cottage tucked away in a peaceful part of West Looe. Full of character, with original timber beams, thick traditional walls, a cosy gas fireplace and lovely hillside views. Just a 1-minute stroll from West Looe Quay, with the beach, harbour, independent shops, pubs and cafés nearby. A charming coastal hideaway for couples and families exploring Cornwall.
The space
Step inside Cosy Bake Cottage and you’ll find a wonderful mix of historic Cornish character and modern comfort, thoughtfully arranged over two floors.
Living & Dining
Downstairs, the welcoming living room retains its beautifully restored original exposed timber beams, complemented by a cosy gas fireplace — perfect for relaxing after a day by the coast.
The stylish modern kitchen is fully equipped for your stay and features a large gas range cooker, integrated dishwasher, washer-dryer and fridge-freezer, along with a dining table seating four.
Sleeping
Upstairs are two bedrooms:
• Master bedroom: King-size bed with a memory foam mattress and Tempur memory foam pillows, plus a desk and table — ideal for working, studying or getting ready. The room also enjoys gorgeous views across the East Looe hills.
• Second bedroom: A cosy bunk room overlooking the garden, ideal for two children or one adult.
A double sofa bed is also available in the living room when additional sleeping flexibility is needed.
The cottage is ideally suited to up to 4 guests.
Bathroom
The fully renovated family bathroom is located on the first floor and features a walk-in shower with a rainfall showerhead, providing a comfortable and refreshing space to get ready for the day or unwind after exploring the coast.
Outdoor Space
Step outside into your private courtyard, furnished with a table and chairs — a lovely spot for morning coffee or an evening drink.
From the courtyard, steps lead to a charming elevated garden and decked seating area. Here you can enjoy views across the Looe hills and even a glimpse of the sea. A BBQ is provided for warmer days and summer evenings.

Guests have exclusive access to the entire cottage, including the private courtyard, elevated garden and decked seating area.
The cottage is located at the bottom of the hill on a quiet residential road. The private entrance is reached through a small alleyway with three steps leading to the property.
A nearby loading bay provides convenient access for dropping off and collecting guests and luggage.
Parking: Paid parking is available by West Looe Harbour, approximately a 1-minute walk away. For longer stays, Millpool Car Park is around a 6-minute walk and offers a more cost-effective option.
Other things to note
The Jolly Sailor pub and SPAR convenience store are both just moments from the cottage.
Due to the stairs, entrance steps and traditional layout of this historic property, the cottage may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility.
The bunk bedroom is a cosy room and is best suited to two children or one adult. A double sofa bed is available in the living room if required.
As Looe is a coastal town, humidity can naturally be higher than in other parts of the UK, particularly during warmer months. A dehumidifier is provided in the kitchen to help maintain comfortable humidity levels and air quality.
