The space
Jim’s Cottages is a one-of a-kind compound that consists of two identical buildings built on an enormous hillside lot. Each building has an upper unit (1 BR, 1.5 Baths) and lower unit (2 BR, 1 Bath).

This cavernous, airy upper level villa offers gorgeous views of the sea from every room. The open floor plan includes a huge, well-stocked kitchen, pantry, spacious master bathroom with clawfoot tub, huge walk-in closet, large private courtyard & massive deck.

The house features large windows and three double screen doors that allow the breeze to flow freely throughout, creating a refreshing, naturally ventilated space that keeps it cool even without using the AC.

Imagine waking up every morning to the sunrise view from your king-sized, four poster bed! (or sleeping in with the room-darkening curtains ;-)

Guests can choose to privately dine or lounge inside, in the outdoor courtyard or on the deck.

The large, beautiful pool area and palapa have many additional lounging and dining options, as well as floating pool hammocks and noodles.

The exceptionally well-maintained grounds include an organic herb garden, lime and mango trees that are available to guests when in season.

The property is ideally situated at the crest of the small hill above town, providing guests with the perfect combination of sweeping sea & mountain views, gentle breezes, tranquility and privacy while still being a 5-10 minute walk to beaches, shops and restaurants.

The heated salt water pool and large deck area provide the perfect setting for relaxation and rejuvenation and is an excellent alternative to the beach on days when the winds make hanging at the beach less comfortable. The property is secured by walls and gates on all sides without obstructing the expansive views of the beautiful surroundings.

In addition to all these amenities, the property has redundant WiFi networks and a robust backup dual-generator system that keeps power, AC and internet access fully functional in case of any power outages, which are not uncommon in Los Barriles.

There are also two, 2-car garages on the property that are available for an additional fee.
