Discover a charming Chinese-Portuguese style duplex in the heart of Soi Nana, Chinatown—one of Bangkok’s most vibrant and trendy areas. This two-story century-old house preserves its original soul, with vintage details, wooden floors, and a private terrace where you can feel the rhythm of the neighborhood. Surrounded by temples, traditional markets, and a creative scene of restaurants and craft cocktail bars, it’s ideal for those seeking authenticity, history, and Bangkok’s cultural energy.

The space
My house is a traditional Chinese-style home built nearly 100 years ago by immigrants from southern China who arrived in Thailand between the mid-19th and mid-20th centuries. This type of architecture, known as a shophouse, combines a commercial space on the ground floor with residential levels above — a design so practical it’s still being built today.

The house features two residential floors and a pleasant rooftop terrace.

On the ground floor, you’ll find BAAN YOK, a cozy café that’s perfect for breakfast in the morning or a cocktail in the evening.

I’ve carefully restored the building, preserving its original structure and decorative details as much as possible. The house is located in the heart of Chinatown, one of Bangkok’s most authentic neighborhoods, where the traditions and spirit of the old city are still very much alive.

Soi Nana, the street where the house is located, is now one of the trendiest and most vibrant spots in Bangkok — home to creative bars, stylish cafés, and independent galleries. Just a few steps away is Yaowarat Road, famous for its legendary street food and traditional Chinese-Thai recipes passed down through generations.

The location is also very convenient: just a 5-minute walk from Hua Lamphong MRT station, and close to the ferry pier on the Chao Phraya River, perfect for exploring Bangkok from the water.

Guest access
This duplex apartment offers a bright and comfortable stay across two levels.
On the lower floor, you’ll find a living room with a sofa bed, a work desk, and a full bathroom with a hot-water shower.
Upstairs, there’s a cozy bedroom with a double bed and access to a spacious private terrace of approximately 9 m² — perfect for relaxing outdoors.
Both floors are equipped with air conditioning for your comfort.

Other things to note
This is an old house with the inconveniences of the antiques but with the beauty of those. We have preserved the original architecture, the house is over 100 years old, you may not find the comforts of a hotel. But I assure you that you will feel that the house is super cozy.

This is not a hotel but a private house.

It has very steep stairs, which make this accommodation not suitable for the elderly or people with mobility difficulties .

Around the house the neighbors are usually families who have been here all their lives. I need them to feel good about my guests. It is necessary to make a normal life in the house without noise or trouble, no parties or similar.

The house is located in Chinatown which is one of the busiest neighborhoods in Bangkok. Also our street has bars and restaurants around.

Neighborhood highlights

The house is located in the heart of Chinatown, one of the most authentic neighborhoods in Bangkok. A district well known for still preserving its original essence and old traditions, if you are staying in my house you are bound to experience up close the charming old city life.
Soi Nana, the street where my house is situated, is undoubtedly one of the trendiest places in the city, with cool bars, cafes and art spaces attracting many local visitors.

Apart from that, you will find many other interesting spots – including temples, markets, museums, etc- as well as other hidden-places to be found during the day – you can ask me when you get here!- and after sunset, definitely the best street food in town around Yaowarat Road, all within walking distance from the house.
