'Deep Creek Farmstead' sits on 7 wooded acres with expansive private access to Deep Creek, which feeds into the Clackamas River just beyond our property. The 5000 sf home and its incredible landscape have recently undergone a major renovation, updating it into a blissful retreat experience. Enjoy the central proximity while getting away from it all.
The space
At Deep Creek Farmstead, the open air and sounds of the wild birds and rushing creek will ignite you, and the time spent here will be gratifying and memorable.
Welcome the sunrise with geese, wood ducks, blue heron, and countless other birds, take a morning hike along our private trails, soak up the sunshine (or shade) on one of our three private beaches, and float the creek and take a dip in the swimming hole to cool off. Relax in the sauna and hot tub for a while before you rinse off in one of two spa-style showers. After you've cooked dinner in the spacious kitchen or wood-fired pizzas on our Gozney pizza oven, gather around the bonfire and enjoy the show - the starry sky out here really knows how to end a perfect day.
Not to be missed are the colder weather seasons here, when things quiet down, making time for wood fires and peaceful moments of reflection by the rushing creek. This place truly is an oasis, and we're so pleased to share it with you.
Within the home are 4 bedrooms - 'Orchard Room' on the main level with queen bed and a daybed plus trundle, the 'Creek Room' upstairs with king bed and daybed, 'Garden Room' with queen bed and trundle, and 'Fir Room' on the main level with a queen bed, comfy Article queen sofa bed, and an in-room kitchenette. The house also has a family room/snug with Blu Dot queen sofa bed as well as a dining room, living room with wood fireplace and hearth, spacious fully outfitted kitchen, 2 large full bathrooms with spa-style showers, a pantry, mud room, and laundry room, as well as a cedar sauna (seats 7) and 7-person hot tub.
All furnishings, fixtures, appliances, and finishes are new. Kitchen comes well-equipped with all the basics for baking and cooking as well as items we find great for large parties and entertaining.
There are a lot of extras, so we kindly ask that you notify us if something breaks during your stay so we are able to repair, replace, or notify the incoming guests.

We feel the home is best enjoyed by 3-4 families, a group of 3-4 couples, or a mix of couples and singles of 8-10. For a full house though, you are welcome to host up to 12. This maximum occupancy applies to your entire stay - no additional guests are permitted at any times.
Please respect the policies on events and outside guests. If you would like to inquire about using the Farmstead for a micro wedding, workshop, retreat, or a larger-scale event, please contact us via our website.
** we are not able to accommodate late check-out or early check-in due to the amount of time needed to full prepare the home and property for incoming guests, so please be sure to book accordingly <3 **
Guest access
Guests have completely private access to the house, sauna, hot tub, and surrounding land and creek to explore.
The barn, shop, open sheds, and 'Seed & Feed' buildings are not for guest use unless booked as an Event.
We have a strict maximum of 12 guests at all times. NO EVENTS OF ANY KIND are allowed on the property without prior approval. Inquiries should contact us via our website or email.
Please notify us in advance if you will require use of the home's elevator, otherwise it is powered off for safety reasons.
Other things to note
No professional or commercial photo shoots allowed on the property. For more information please contact us directly.
No elopements, weddings, or events of any size unless pre-approved. For more information please contact us directly. If found to be violating our event policy, you will be asked to leave immediately and/or pay a minimum of a $1000 fine, up to $10,000 depending on the extent.
Absolutely NO SMOKING inside the home or you'll be charged a minimum of $200 if finding any evidence of smoking indoors.
The land is not safe for unfamiliar dogs for many reasons, and the messes they leave due to creek water/mud is incredibly hard to clean, so we ask that you limit your gathering to just one dog, and remain mindful at all times. NO DOGS ON FURNITURE.
Please be aware of and obey local burn bans during high-risk fire seasons. Fines apply for any fires that violate local forestry laws.
Hiking and exploring the property is allowed at your own risk. There are many steep trails and ridges along with wildlife. No children should be left unattended during your stay, especially outdoors.
Note that our landscape is managed for biodiversity, so we allow plants & flowers to go to seed to support local wildlife and encourage natural regeneration. This provides a more natural and wild appearance, rather than pruned or manicured.
The land is very private, and as we are bordered by the creek on one side and the river on the other, there are only 3 neighbors:
1 - there is a young family in a one-story white house that is visible from some areas on our land. There is no fence between our properties where they meet in one small section, but you only need to stick to the trails on the East side of the land to remain on our land.
2 - there is one other house that is visible from some places, this one on the hill across the creek. You won't see or hear them unless you are on our 'Clay Beach', but it's good to know that you may see them down there.
3 - The land along the ridge is owned by Metro Parks, who manage 17,000 acres across the Portland metropolitan region and work to protect natural areas, improve water quality, and restore wildlife habitat. This land is currently under rehab and is uninhabited, but sometimes workers will be there during the day. You cannot see or hear them from anywhere on our property.

Neighborhood highlights
Deep Creek Farmstead is in a rural area made up of large lots and farmland along the winding Clackamas River, on the outskirts of the Mt Hood National Forest. We are within minutes to several stunning parks, campgrounds, hikes, and watering holes, as well as sweet small towns and several metro cities with incredible dining, sightseeing, shopping, etc.
One mile away is the put-in for one of the most beloved floats in our state - 'Barton to Carver' - which is an infamous 3-5 hour adventure worth researching!
The hubbub of Mt Hood is 30-45 mins away, but our home can provide a quiet retreat and cut the access time for those looking to get close, but not too close, to the mountain action.
This is a truly ideal location for a group vacation, a wedding stay for a Clackamas County ceremony, and a healthy dose of nature, all within a super ideal proximity.
