Recently renovated, this tranquil haven with a king bed is just a few blocks from the heart of Waikiki—steps away from vibrant restaurants, shops, and beautiful beaches. We love enjoying a delicious lunch at Marukame Udon, shopping on the way to Island Vintage Shave Ice, and then relaxing at the iconic Waikiki Beach.

We are in fact located in the heart of Waikiki - which has a night time recreational life style; it can get noisy in the building's surrounding area at night for those who are sensitive to sounds or "city noise" as this is indeed a city that you will be living in.
**Notice: Beginning October 6, 2025, Aloha Surf Waikiki will start a comprehensive elevator modernization project. The project will take place in phases over approximately six months, with one elevator replaced at a time. Each replacement is expected to take about three months, and one elevator will always remain in service for guest use. The project is scheduled for completion by April 2026. While we anticipate some minor inconvenience, we are confident these improvements will provide long-term benefits and a more comfortable stay for our guests.**

Parking situation/Renting a car:
To make your stay easier, we recommend NOT renting a car in advance, and only renting one on the days you wish to explore outside of Honolulu. While in Waikiki, a car isn’t necessary—everything is very walkable, and there’s a great bus system, along with bikes, trolleys, electric scooters or three-wheeled “Scoot Coupes” for rent.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY On-Site Parking Rules:
Garage clearance: 6 feet 6 inches
All vehicles must be registered with the front desk, providing license plate number, color, make, and model. Unregistered vehicles will be towed at the owner's expense, without warning.
Visitor parking (8 AM - 4 PM) offers 2 hours of free parking. If you exceed 2 hours, a $25 charge applies.
As a privately owned unit, we are not part of the Aqua Hotel. We can NOT guarantee parking and the hotel does NOT reserve parking spaces for private unit guests.
At 4PM, visit the front desk for a nightly parking pass ($45), subject to availability. The pass expires at 12 noon on the next day, and you will need to remove your car. The next cycle begins when you visit the front desk at 4PM again to get a parking pass subject to new availability of the new night. You may not reserve parking passes for multiple days in advance; it has to be checked and purchased daily.
You may be able to find free street parking alongside Ala Wai Boulevard. However, this can be challenging depending on the time you arrive as everyone is competing for free parking. There will also be street cleanings from 8:30AM to 11:30AM on Mondays and Fridays and parking during this time will be towed.
**If you cannot find parking, or it is FULL, you can park at the International Market Place ($60 maximum for overnight) or at the parking structure at Island Colony on Seaside Avenue subject to its availability for $45 per 24 hours (no set time). Island Colony allows you to purchase multiple passes in advance.
Other things to note
- It is SELF ACCESS to room with door code provided upon check-in. You can check in anytime after 3pm no matter how late.
- Mailing to the unit is NOT possible; we apologize that we do not provide this service.
- We provide 1 Large Body Towel, 1 Medium Towel, 1 Face Towel, 1 Pool Towel (Per Guest).
- Linen: we are Airbnb and do not operate like the hotel so please notate that we do not replace the linen in this room and do not provide extra towels. Please also do not ask the front desk for towels or give our towels to hotel staff. You can refresh the towels in the laundry room in basement and detergents ($1.50 subject to change) can be bought at front desk. You are always encouraged to bring your own extra towels and supplies.
- We also do not provide housekeeping services.
- We provide coffee powder for use in the coffee pod machine.
- There are ***NO BABY*** gears and supplies provided because the room is too tight to have them long term. However it is not impossible to fit them during your stay and you can rent them from BabyQuip. They have Pack N Play and many other baby necessities.
- Luggage storage is not possible in the building BUT there are luggage storage services nearby and the closest luggage storage company from the building is Your Connection Hawaii (159 Kaʻiulani Ave # 102, Honolulu, HI 96815) just a 5-minute walk away. It opens from 8am to 10pm.
- You can also try Stasher luggage storage by booking online. Slightly farther companies would be Waikiki Baggage and Luggage Storage by Kuhio beach park or Bounce Luggage Storage by the zoo.
